Our annual camping trip required a location much closer to home this year and it was a treat to find this site nearby. It is small but perfectly formed and a real delight. The facilities are clean and well laid out, with additional shack lavs and showers for busy periods. The site is well maintained and there is plenty of room for the children to play their games and run around. There is also a small pond area, which is ideal for taking the dog for a stroll around the camp. The only downside is that the camp is very close to the A38 and you can always hear the distant hum of traffic. However, the site is a quiet one and descends into peace early in the evening. Although we brought our tent and camped out on this occasion, I would probably take the opportunity to try out the pods and cabins in the future, particularly when they have the added attraction of a hot tub!

Second time coming here and loved it both times! Fantastic place! For any newbies .. make sure you bring your own bedding (pillows/duvet)...and be aware it only has a sink, kettle, microwave, fridge freezer... there is a BBQ outside as well as the hot tub. You can buy extra wood on-site once you run out of your first batch, which they provide on arrival! Really peaceful spot :)

Had a fab night in one of the Lotus Bell Tents at Hill Farm. We were greeted on arrival by a lovely lady who directed us right to our tent. The beds were big and comfier than the one I have at home! Spacious tent fully equipped with a fridge, kettle, electric points, heater, BBQ, dustbin and a light. The site has a modern and clean shower and toilet unit with more single toilets outside of that block central to all visitors. Drinking water taps are dotted around the site and there is an outdoor hand/pots washing area too. The site was well kept and in a beautiful countryside spot. There's a few pubs very near the site (walkable) and a big Asda a short drive away. My only regret is that we didn't take more of our social group and book in time to hire one of the pods or tents with a hot tub. Highly recommend this well positioned site - for the price we paid, we were really impressed.

What a fantastic campsite, location was perfect for visiting relatives. Tara was fantastic, so friendly and helpful and nothing seemed to be a bother for her. The campsite itself was beautiful and had a safe family friendly atmosphere. Will definitely stay here again!!

The park was very clean and nicely kept. The park manager, Tara, was very welcoming and very helpful. The big negative for myself was the lack of facilities. Only two toilets and two showers for ladies and the same gents to service the whole site which on a few occasions meant a queue to wait for using the facilities and the site wasn't even half full.
Not impressed

We were not impressed by the hospitality or the scenery, nor the cleanliness. The bathroom floors were always dirty, lots of grass (which is normal). However, the grass that has been swept was just sitting on a pile on the corner of the bathroom for the guests to admire. It was quite dry as well, so we are guessing it has been there for a while. In addition, there were always hairs on the sinks, maybe more often and more thorough clean is required. The lady owning the place is doing everything herself, I did not see any staff. The tap stops as soon as you press it on. You need to hold it pressed with one hand to wash the other, ridiculous. The scenery isn't worth the trip - you will constantly hear the railway passing nearby and the charming little pond you see on the photos is more of a swamp in person.
10/10 for everything

Our third visit to this site and each time has been lovely. We pitched our own tent this time and our 2 children aged 7 & 8 had the best time making friends with other children on site. Facilities were clean and well supplied, the kids particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower area in the hot weather. Will definitely return again 😊

Place was lovely and peaceful, lady who introduced us to our pitch was very friendly. I do feel the toilets and showers were not very clean, maybe would be ideal if the toilets and showers were cleaned thoroughly each night and to be checked throughout the day. The showers were wet with dirty floors and walls and a lot of long hair in places. They were the like that the next day too.

We booked the site so we could go to Download. Contrary to my fears, it wasn't packed and the grass pitches were in perfect condition. We couldn't leave on Friday afternoon and Hill Farm was really cool about keeping our space. It's an excellent value for money, clean and friendly. Highly recommended and we will be back as there are other sights to see!

A nice, quiet, clean site. We arrived Friday evening to be greeted by the host, who was very pleasant and helpful. We booked a hard standing fully serviced plot. The plot was a good size. The EHU and water tap well located in good condition and easy to use. The site was very clean and had good shower and toilet facilities. Even though it was busy it was very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay again.

Very relaxing campsite and nice area for walks, shops and pubs. The owners work very hard and keep facilities clean and tidy. Would benefit from extra toilets and showers on busy periods and would benefit from dog area. Would visit again.
