About Achindarroch Touring Park
This family run site makes the most of its picturesque and tranquil location, acting as a magnet for outdoor adventurers, with Glencoe only 15 minutes away and Ben Nevis also within a modest drive. The park is dotted with picnic benches and parasols, which are perfect for its sun trap status in the summer. The surrounding mountains also offer plenty of shelter. Achindarroch's touring pitches are spacious and include grassed tent pitches and hardstanding motorhome and caravan pitches, both available with electric. You have the chance to skip bringing the tent and instead go for camping pods - think of them as hassle free wooden tents. Camping beds are supplied inside, with cooking supplies, a stove and toasty heating. That means you can keep the car nice and light, bringing just a few sleeping bags, your food and drink.
Open all year, but usually closed for the first week of November.

It's not for nothing that Fort William, an easy half hour from the park, is known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK. This part of the world is packed with unmissable walking through crisp countryside, bike rides through sweet smelling forests and adventurous climbs. In the water you can try sailing, diving and canoeing too.
Watch the Jacobite Steam Train puff its way past (an iconic part of the Harry Potter films) or get deep with the Cave of Sculls, you'll find there's no limit to the exploring you can do.
If you've got a hankering for the beach, Cuil Bay is within easy reach and offers a beautiful backdrop which you'll share with local wildlife.
