We stayed in Pond View. Loved seeing the moorhens, birds and chickens. Lovely hut. Had everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen. Lovely bed linen, and warm blankets for sitting outside at night. Fire pit plus marshmallows (and a glass of wine 🤣) went perfectly with the sound of the trees and the lovely fairy lights all around. Loved it 👍🏻 Great hosts David & Suzanne were really helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend this for a peaceful retreat. Had a nice walk round the farm. Made friends with the chickens and waved at the horses. Can also recommend local pub Green Dragon for food 👍🏻

My friend and I had a wonderful stay. The huts were lovely and quaint! We really enjoyed the local pub & the surrounded area for walks. We played scrabble the night that it rained and thoroughly enjoyed the games that were provided. Thank you for having us! We would definitely return!

This was our first experience in a Shepherd's Hut and I would happily stay again. The hut was so well equipped and there were some nice thoughtful touches, like a jug of milk for our arrival. The log burner was amazing; we certainly weren't ever cold. My partner really enjoyed the fishing. This was an added bonus in the price we paid, which for the whole experience, was extremely good value for money. We can't wait to go again sometime.

The fairy lights, picnic spot and barbecue are already welcoming. Only open the shepherd's hut door and be hugged with cosy comforts: stove, well-equipped kitchen, convenient bathroom stocked with goodies. The breakfast tray was abundantly stacked with homely delights. I loved cycling to the neighbouring spots on the bridle road.

A nice relaxing weekend spent at Oxton Hill Hideaway. Great location, so peaceful and quiet. Great for walking the dog. Enjoyed a walk to the garden centre, where they did a nice breakfast. Local pubs were bang on too! The shepherds hut was cosy, with a nice view over the paddocks. The board games were fun as we'd never played scrabble before! Great value. The hosts were helpful, even when we did get lost on our dog walk, lol. Would highly recommended for anyone wanting a nice weekend away from life to just chill.

Lovely, quiet site with great walks from the field. Superb tearoom a short walk away. Only criticism was not having drinking water available in the field.

What a lovely setting and friendly and helpful owners. The setting provides lovely views and many horses in the field adjacent to the camping area. It was very peaceful and only a short walk to a local garden centre that had good quality food in its cafe.

Stayed at this lovely little hut, very peaceful with beautiful views. Has everything you need and the owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Very cosy and warm with extra heating and blankets if needed, which we didn't. BBQ outdoors to cook on, but also microwave toaster and hot plate if the weather is bad. Dogs are also welcome, which we will be bringing next time we stay.

Suzanne and David were the perfect hosts. Lots of extra personal touches to make our stay more special. Great location. Never expected a Shepherd’s hut to be so luxurious.

Stayed here in our Motorhome with our dog. Great place to stay, nice and relaxing. Owners very friendly, helpful and easy going including owners children. The grounds are lovely and well kept with a very picturesque large pond / small lake. Lots of horses, stables and fields. Can walk around the grounds freely. Would most definitely stay here again and would recommend to others. Only minor point, which is very minor, for the Motorhome pitches there is no electric hook up, but this didn't affect our stay at all. We will be re-booking in future.

Thank you for your lovely review, and we do hope you come back another time. The motorhome location is a good distance from the main farm, which means we cannot provide hook up however the advantage of this is that the site is very quiet and lovely. We encourage guests to have solar or similar, indeed we have solar lights in all the fruit trees around the pitches, which twinkle at night.
