Nice site split into 3 field surrounding the visitors centre. Swift and efficient registration and site tour. Good choice of pitches with firm earth for good pegging. Pubs nearby. No cars on the grass so it was clean and fresh. Only criticism is that it is close to the railway (occasional noise) and there was a lot of rain 😜

Stayed before and will stay again. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. The site is clean and the showers are probably the best in Edale.
Lovely stay for a couple looking to get away

Lovely site, well maintained and loads of space. Fantastic way to get off grid as there’s little service so perfect way to relax and reconnect with family/friends!
Nice campsite, handy for train station

Lovely site, I was down by the stream and was perfect (bar the storm!) Facilities good, though I'd rather pay £1 a night more rather than faffing with 20p's and then having to jump in shower as time going down, but not a major issue. Or, just be like the continent and have open showers, then you don't have to have your dry clothes in a cubicle getting damp. Only suggestion I'd make as someone backpacking and walking in - it would be great if there somewhere to leave gear on arrival if you're early so you can then go walking without all your equipment. But overall, nice site, good facilities (the forecast pinned up is a brilliant idea) and the staff I met were nice and friendly. Would recommend.

Very nice quiet campsite, lots of space between pitches, nice that cars are not allowed on-site near tents and only a short walk to the parking. Facilities very good. Only minor drawback was that the fridge was tiny, far too small for the campsite and so couldn't keep any food in it. Also, the EVCP requires access to the internet to charge your car; as there is no mobile phone signal, the only way to do this is to use the national park information centre free Wi-Fi, which was very hit & miss (luckily, it was working the day I was charging the car).

Had a great time here, Charlie was specifically great especially as due to traffic, we arrived late. There were services on-hand to purchase from the centre during opening hours, which was particularly good as it's not something I've experienced in many other campsites.
Beautiful, peaceful campsite with great facilities

We had a lovely time camping with our little girl and friends with their kids. Really tranquil, nicely laid-out site with lots of space. Bring change/coins (and powerpacks if you need anything charging!).
Brilliant time, thank you

Great site. Really well set with good facilities. Very helpful staff. Torrential downpour on our last morning did transform our pitch into a little lake, but it wouldn't have been a complete camping experience otherwise. Many thanks. One thing that makes the site, is how it is broken down into small sections and that it's just for campers - no caravans or campervans.
Delightful campsite

I read a lot of reviews when planning my little solo motorcycle trips away. Amongst other things, it's important that there is safe parking on moderately solid ground, and that there will be campsite rules regarding noise. Fieldhead campsite seemed perfect. An email enquiry was responded to quickly and the majority of reviews were positive. So I booked it well in advance, always a gamble with British weather and spent ages waiting for it to come along & now it has flown by, and I am home writing this review. So first of all, if you don't like sheep bleating, trains passing & the odd plane passing over -oh and wet grass - I'd say camping in the British countryside is probably not for you. Fieldhead campsite offers all of this. However, if you are the camping sort and accept there will always be some downsides with this sort of holiday, then you cannot do better than this beautifully laid out, picturesque site with incredible facilities at a great price with friendly, helpful staff. Not to mention guests who abide by the quiet rules and should you need it, two rather fabulous ale establishments a stone's throw away. The listing tells all but here goes - the immaculate, clean and steaming hot showers cost 20p for 2 minutes. The hairdryers are 50p and for £3 for the duration of your stay you can charge as many gadgets as you need in a secure locker in "The Bothy". There's family friendly areas, a secluded adults only area, a rambling stream, trees that rustle in the wind and staggering views all around. The staff are so helpful & friendly and the site is so well kept. Be warned though, mobile signal is sketchy to say the least. EE & 3 can get a signal but if you're on O2 or Vodafone, forget it. That said, at The Ramblers' Inn, 2 minutes walk away there's excellent beer and free Wi-Fi. If you want to hike around the Peaks, or enjoy the stunning roads such as Snake Pass, Winnats Pass, Via Gelia in a sporty two seater or a motorcycle, you cannot beat this site. Peace, tranquillity, beauty, and perfectly placed. I will be back.

The experience at Fieldhead Campsite was very good. Staff were very helpful and polite, they helped as a lot because we don't know about camping in the UK. It was our first experience and we forgot to take camp things with us. The staff gave us spare camp things, which was really appreciated. Thank you Fieldhead Campsite, I recommend everyone to go and stay there because of the great service 😇🙏

A lovely campsite, nestled by the visitor centre in Edale. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the facilities were very clean. The owners had helpfully provided labels to identify items you needed to store in the fridge/freezer!

Fieldhead is nice and easy to find as it's right next to the Visitor Centre. We arrived to a warm welcome from the Charlie and Cassie and had a quick intro to the facilities. There was a decent selection of pitches to choose from in the different campsite zones. Lovely clean facilities with good hot showers. Fieldhead was the perfect base for walking the Edale Skyline (and the weather was great). The site was peaceful, but I recommend earplugs anyway as the crows were a bit enthusiastic at bookending the daylight hours. Definitely recommended and we'll definitely be back.
