Harbour Lights is located just outside the village of Haverigg on the south-western tip of the Lake District National Park. There are non electric grass pitches as well as electric gravel and hardstanding pitches, perfect for campers and tourers alike. Or opt for a camping or glamping pod for something a little easier. An idyllic spot for relaxing, a two minute walk from Haverigg Beach.

Enjoyed our first night in a pod. Beautiful place. Lots of tents, campervans, but quiet site. Showers and toilets, lovely and warm and clean. Enjoyed the firepit. Pod was clean and warm, big enough. Bed comfy. Staff in reception were lovely.
Excellent!

We have just returned from 2 nights in one of the Mega Pods (Glamping Pod). The pod itself was fantastic! It was clean and spacious. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (5 yrs old and 12 yrs old). We didn't know what to expect as we've never been glamping before. There was everything in there including a kitchen: fully stocked with cutlery, crockery, knives, scissors etc (as well as oven, kettle and microwave). The bathroom was really spacious with a toilet, sink and large shower. The beds were comfy. The pull out bed was easy to set up. There was a bench outside and two chairs (we took 2 camping chairs but didn't really need them). There's the option of a fire pit but we didn't use that. Overall, the campsite is lovely and clean. Everyone was really friendly and not a lot of noise or disturbance. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The village itself is a bit sparse and desolate, but the walk to the beach and on to the disused lighthouse is lovely. There's plenty of sites to see within a shortish drive so the lack of things in the actual village of Haverigg isn't an issue. There's a Tesco in Millom which is only a five minutes drive away. Overall, a really enjoyable stay and we would definitely recommend! We were sad to leave and wished we'd booked longer.

We stayed for two nights, and the grass field is very level and tidy. The facilities are clean and an excellent standard and staff told us where to find everything we need on arrival. There is a small beach directly beside the site, and a larger beach a very short walk away with a quiet little seaside town. The area is very dog friendly, never far from a bowl of water or dog friendly ice cream! Our children loved every minute.

Enjoyed our stay; quiet site, lovely combined toilet and showers. Lovely coffee and ice cream onsite in the ice cream parlour. Very friendly wardens who made us feel welcome from day one. We did 420 miles on our trike and saw some lovely places. It was a good base. Havering has a good chippy so does Millom. Would recommend the site to my friends.

Really lovely place. You really can enjoy the best of both worlds. The beach and lagoon is just next door with a great water park and places to eat and drink. Then, on the other hand, the lakes are a short drive away.

Very impressed with my pitch, the friendly welcome from the staff and the toilet and showering facilities being spotless. One thing I did notice and mention to the staff was that I thought vehicles did not adhere to the 5mph speed limit, which could be significant now school holidays have just started...I would suggest much bigger signs.

Really pleased with this campsite. Friendly staff, nice and clean, on the coast, local pubs - what more could you ask for?

Was greeted by Wendy on arrival and was told where all the necessary places were, i.e. toilet/shower block, water fill ups and black waste. Pitch was nice and level, which isn't always the case.

Friendly, flat site. Nice cafe with delicious home made ice cream. Toilet and shower set up best I've ever seen! Near the beach, great for dog walking and pub with great food nearby. Will be going again.

Lovely, clean site. Staff very friendly and helpful. Toilets very clean and plenty of hot water in the showers. We stayed at the far end of the campsite and it was very peaceful. Electric hook up, but not serviced. We did require the water butt and waste water butt, not a problem though.

Beautiful, quiet site. Very clean, showers are brilliant, huge rooms and plenty of hot water. Staff go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible, they even give us a lift to the train station as we couldn't get a taxi and picked us up when we got back after our day out, now that's what I call excellent service. Coffee shop and ice cream parlour on site and its delicious! The beach is literally a 2 minute walk from the camp. Highly recommend harbour lights, beautiful site.

We had a great stay. Lovely relaxing break with good walks along the coast. Interesting wildlife and good to see the re-wilding of a post -industrial area.
Great location for short walks

Individual wet room shower and toilet facilities good and having only one closed at a time for cleaning is an ideal solution that many sites don't have. More showers and toilets and additional waste water points for size of site would be useful. Also, very sorry to say that there are no recycling facilities on site which in current times, is very disappointing. Whilst not necessarily sites fault, but the local council should already be doing its bit to provide separate recycling bins on a site with this capacity. Site lovely during week when quiet but filled up lots prior to and during weekend with lots of kids still making noise at 11pm. But guess that's part of booking onto a non adult only site for weekends. Overall, enjoyed the stay and would return but, maybe Sunday to Friday to avoid the weekend.

Our stay at Harbour lights was brilliant! We had pod three, with a very comfortable double bed and underfloor heating. The campsite is lovely and quiet, really clean and in a good location. In particular, Andrea, kept the office open for a few extra minutes when I forgot my card to buy some firewood, she was really friendly and helpful and this speaks volumes of the experience the site wants their customers to have! Booking to return soon.

Facilities on site are great, but may benefit from an onsite shop for essentials. After saying that, Londis is a 5 minutes walk and Tesco is a 10 minute drive. Campsite is clean and well kept, if you are camping, don't forget hard ground tent pegs as the gravel pitches were difficult to get ordinary tent pegs through. Coffee shop and Ice cream shop on site were great and there is a fantastic bar on the next resort that caters for meat lovers and Vegan (anything on their menu will be converted to a vegan option). If you have got kids, there is enough of a beach for them to enjoy, but the site is actually on the tidal estuary and there are a lot of sand/ mud banks. Great views and great walks and a RSPB sanctuary within a 15 minute walk.

One night stay but returning shortly for two more days. Didn't have a chance to use the ice-cream/coffee place but seemed okay. Clean toilet and shower facilities. Helpful and friendly security guard.

Very friendly helpful staff, good facilities but very disappointed with immediate local area. Haverigg was very quiet with minimal attractions. The staff at the site, however, were very good and the site itself has everything you need.
