About The Bickerton Poacher
This quiet family-orientated campsite is situated on well-sheltered land beside the Bickerton Poacher bar and restaurant. Close to a number of towns including Chester, just 10 miles away, the campsite's locality is also ideal for walkers. Pitches consist of both hardstanding and grass pitches suitable for tents and caravans. There is the option for electric hook-up on both types of pitch. The Bickerton Poacher also offers a fully-equipped self-catering holiday home within a static caravan, and bed and breakfast rooms within the pub itself. Dogs are welcome on the site.
The site is open year round but only hardstanding pitches are available between October and January.

Site rules and policies
Fire pits and barbeques are also permitted, provided they stand at least two feet away from the ground. Logs can be obtained from the bar - simply ask a member of staff.

The area around the Bickerton Poacher offers a relaxing setting in which to enjoy the best of rural England. The pub itself has a games room where you to can shoot some pool or even play a round of skittles.
A major attraction in the region is the popular Sandstone Trail long-distance footpath, which stretches 34 miles through the gently-rolling countryside of this part of Cheshire. The outdoor family adventure centre, the Crocky Trail, is less than 10 miles away, while the Ice Cream Farm is even closer.
The imposing relics of historic Chester are also just 10 miles from the Bickerton Poacher, and spectacular views from the centuries-old Beeston Castle a similar distance away.
