Set in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, this 5 star, dog friendly park is both enticingly close to beaches along the coastline and the charm of Robin Hood's Bay. A set of excellent hardstandings are available all year round at Middlewood Farm, or you can camp on grass pitches, and glamp in the cosy warmth of a pod with heating, lighting and plenty of other creature comforts.

VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Touring Hardstanding PitchesDec 2024

It was my first time in a campervan, reception were so helpful in explaining everything. The facilities were great and had everything you'd need. Only downside was my camper gas ran out and the site didn't have any refills available, but other than that all was fine. 5*.

A great location and super clean. We have been a few times and I will certainly be going back again. All the campsite facilities you'll need! There is an excellent local pub only a 10 mins walk away. Another 10 mins walk (down a couple of fields) is the best part of The Bay and the beach!

Thank you for your great review. We do appreciate it.

We had a 3 night stay at Middlewood farm, it is a lovely peaceful and tranquil site, with excellent facilities. It is very near Robin Hood's bay, just a short walk away, which is beautiful. We will hopefully to return in the near future, the site is excellent for families or couples, highly recommend.

Lovely location plenty to do and visit in the area. For the price we paid which is similar to other campsites Wi-Fi is included. Here we paid extra for Wi-Fi and for taking a dog. Great place for families. Great beaches and walking area.

Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly)Nov 2024

Me and my partner stayed in a glamping pod in opposition to booking a hotel for Whitby Goth Weekend, we easily got a bus to Whitby (bus stop was 10 min walk away) and easily got a taxi back to the campsite later on! The pod itself was lovely to stay in, it had all the necessities such as a mattress, heater, kettle, microwave, and fridge. We stayed cosy and warm, and slept well! What more could we ask for?! Using the facilities at night was a bit spooky, but they were nice and clean and easily accessible! Definitely would stay again. Next time I will come with comfier bed sheets/ blankets and pillows and maybe bring my lil doggie! Saw many dogs outside the pods and started to miss my little man, lol.

VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Touring Hardstanding PitchesOct 2024

if you're looking for a great location to Robin Hood's Bay, then I can't fault this campsite. Having said that, I spent two days there and it was very noisy. Large motorhomes and caravans coming backwards and forwards over from the campsite and when they finally got in position, it took them an age to setup and you could hear everything. There were ground works being carried out from 7am until 5pm on the second evening in a field adjacent to the area I was in. There were people clearly not following the 11pm rules, swearing and singing. No respect for anyone else. There was a young teenager on a motor scooter going around the actual campsite where I was located. I can only describe it as train station, definitely not somewhere if you want peace and quiet and I would hate to be there in high season as I felt there were for too many pitches, not enough space. You could hear everyone's conversations. The owners were very friendly and I couldn't fault the campsite cleanliness. Unfortunately, I won't be returning in the future.

Site's response

Thank you for your review. The campsite is surrounded by fields where farming operations have to be done at certain times of the year. You would not want a campsite in the middle of a town, would you! If you want solitude, then we are too popular for you.

We enjoyed our stay here but the toilets and showers could have been cleaner. The site was very well organised and we stayed on a hard standing pitch. The walk down to Robin Hood's Bay was a lovely walk over fields with our dogs, the Bay was very beautiful and we were allowed on the beach with our dogs, who enjoyed all their walks.

Nice site, well located

Single Axle Caravan - Large Electric Touring Hardstanding PitchesSep 2024

A nice site to stay at for Whitby Scarborough and Robin Hood's Bay. Not massive, so can imagine it gets very busy in the summer period.. Facilities spotless, had a chuckle at all the rules you have to abide by, shame there wasn't anyone walking around to enforce them. But all in all, we enjoyed it, but like I said, it was quiet due to the storms we had but it didn't spoil our little break. Would definitely go again.

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2024

An absolutely lovely scenic campsite. Small friendly site on a working farm (different entrance so not muddy), a nice and quiet site, and a really clean site. There was hot water to do pots, plenty of toilets and wash basins and hair dryers. he showers were nice and hot (although are on a timer, so if still have bubbles to wash off, you have to wait 5 mins before turns on again. The site has a launderette (with ironing board and iron), a freezer for you to refreeze your ice packs (put name on them), a small play area and a water point. We had an electric hook up, there are static caravans and non electric pitches in a different section. Dog friendly, with some lovely walks. Robin hoods bay, boggle hole, the local shop, bus stop and pubs, all walkable from the site. In a lovely village, not far from Whitby and some other lovely places along this beautiful coast line. The farmer will also jump start your car- if needed!

Absolutely brilliant review. Thank you so much for your fantastic review. We hope to see you again soon.
