Great little site, everything you need - would recommend

Very friendly site with static vans, a touring field for motorhomes etc and a camping field with a mix of sizes and electric hook-up. Reasonably sheltered, views of the sea and good facilities. Only slight downside, the village church clock strikes on the quarter hour 24/7 so if you're particularly sensitive, it might bother you in the middle of the night. You don't hear it after a while most of the time though.

Great spot

Lovely spot for exploring friendly staff and very clean. Site could benefit from some additions to toilet/shower facilities though no negative impact on our stay. Would definitely recommend this site.

I agree that during busy periods the shower block can get a bit cramped but, as we are an area of natural outstanding beauty, we are limited to the number of structures we can have on site. Lovely site

We had a lovely stay at the campsite. It is set in lovely countryside and you can see the sea. Staff very helpful. Unfortunately, we did not realise it was not a quiet site and there was a quite a large party of about three tents that arrived on Friday who were very noisy and singing until the early of Saturday morning! For us, this was such a shame.

Thank you very much for your lovely review. I am sorry that you did not have the peace and quiet that you hoped for. We do have a noise curfew of 9:30pm but I'm afraid not everybody complies. I hope this won't put you off visiting us again as this is not a common occurrence.

Just loved it

This is a brilliant site. We stayed 5 nights but would happily have stayed for 2 weeks. Leonards Cove is a large holiday park with static caravans, rental lodges, rental properties and camping facilities. The tent field is large and on a fairly steep slope. The camper / motorhome field is smaller with only 10 pitches, so it feels secluded. The ground is sloping and a little uneven, so levelling ramps definitely required. There are some basic ones available but best to bring some. The toilets and showers were clean, only 2 toilets for the gents, may need more in high season. The ladies had a loo with a view as the facility block overlooked the sea. The site is on a bus route, but if you have a large motorhome, be prepared to drive down some narrow roads on the way to it and if you head out and about, the roads get narrower the further south you go. We had a great pitch with sea view and valley view where we could watch the wildlife and the bunnies in the evening. The site is within 3 mins walk of 2 pubs and the takeaway service is offered on site. It's a 15 minute walk to the gorgeous beach with great café facilities and the south west coastal footpath is close by, offering great walks in both directions. There is a good reception area with local information and basic essentials for sale as well as a village store within 2 mins walk. All the staff were cheerful and friendly and we had a great welcome when we arrived. Would happily stay again.

Amazing, just what I needed!

We absolutely loved Leonards Cove! Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Staff were lovely and very helpful. We loved Blackpool Sands down the road, although it's a very stony beach so would recommend shoes. We went kayaking down there and it was amazing.

Convenient campsite for visiting the area

Access into and off site is difficult to manoeuvre with caravan, and is more suited to campervans. We were allocated a pitch number before arriving, but when we arrived the pitch was taken on the first night. The pitch we stayed on for the night was not suitable for a caravan. We moved onto our allocated pitch the following day. Facilities were lacking on tourer field, grey water disposal inadequate, one water tap, which was in corner of the field on a pitch. Ground was uneven, blocks provided if needed. Portacabin toilet & shower in the next field which was used for tents, no wash facilities in the tourer field. Campsite was mainly static caravans which looked very good with stunning views. Staff were helpful and polite. Shop and restaurant on site. We loved the area but thought the site was more suited to small motorhomes & tents.

As I explained when you arrived, the pitch numbers are part of our booking system rather than allocated spots. This is why we ask in the information we send you, to come and see us before you pitch, so we can show you to the most suitable space. We do only have one shower block between the camping field and the touring field which can get a lot of traffic during busy times. As we are in an area of outstanding natural beauty, we are limited to what we can build on the land meaning that we are unable to add to the camping facilities at this time.

Beautiful location (close to Blackpool Sands Beach) and very clean facilities. Would definitely recommend!

Great!

The campsite amenities were top-notch. The facilities were exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located. The campsite staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything was in order, and their friendly and helpful nature added to the overall charm of the place. Whether it was assisting with setting up camp or providing valuable insights about the nearby trails and activities, they were always available and ready to assist.

Larger camp than I realised when exploring. I would definitely recommend for all types of stay.

Stunning views

Nothing was too much trouble. I had forgotten to bring levelling ramps for my camper van. Two minutes later, a loan set was delivered to my pitch.

Lovely, small, friendly site

A lovely, small, friendly site. However this was another place with press showers, which personally I hate as you have to keep one hand on the button, which went off every 20 seconds. The shower was also too hot for me with no way of adjusting the heat. A bit out of the way for me with only the onsite bar/restaurant and a local pub with a beach (Blackpool Sands) down the steep hill.

I do understand the frustration with the push button showers, but we have found this the best way to preserve water and avoid the tap accidentally being left on. However, I do apologise that the temperature was too high and I will certainly ask that this is turned down a degree or two.

I would recommend this site for everyone, the best site I have ever seen! The best service, the best staff, very clean site and utilities, I would like to come back again.

Lovely location, clean and well equipped facilities

We had a great stay. Facilities were great and very well looked after. The on site restaurant was delicious. Short walk to the beach and coastal paths.10-minute drive to the local supermarket.

Brilliant

Lovely time had

Clean campsite

The shower block needs updating but they where cleaned twice a day. The campsite is clean and the hosts where very good. Car park on Blackpool sands is 9 pound a day to park - quite expensive and if you want something to eat at the café is expensive as well

Stunning views

We arrived at the reception area and shown to the pitch by Chris - very helpful, informative and knowledgeable. We took an evening walk down to Blackpool sands - harder on the uphill back - and ate at the Green Dragon - decent pub grub. Pitch was quiet, view stunning and facilities clean and accessible. Would come again

Delightful Devon

The site had beautiful views, friendly staff and a big tent pitch. The site is in a great location, on a bus route and is near Dartmouth and Blackpool Sands. Happy days. Green Dragon pub nearby. Great local and site shops for provisions. We will be back.

Amazing little gem

What an amazing find! Beautiful location, lovely clean pitch and facilities. Very quiet at night and the staff were very friendly and helpful (especially Vicky). We had an amazing time and would thoroughly recommend to anyone and will certainly be coming back soon, thank you!
