This site is the cleanest site we have visited and we have been to a lot! Gary has it absolutely spot on, the layout, location and everything is perfect, he even gave us a lift to the beach. Top bloke and a place well worth a visit. 👍👍👍👍

We arrived late 20:50 in foul weather and Gary met us at the entrance and showed us where to pitch, even offered us a cuppa. He is a really nice genuine guy and will give as much help as you need. The site is peaceful and very well kept. Electric is reliable, toilets &and showers are immaculate. Also great effort (and likely expense) has been made to make the site wildlife friendly. We had a very pleasant couple of days and nights. It was nice to be able to have a fire pit. All in all, a great place to get away from it. Highly recommend, we will be returning.
A real gem

Cracking campsite, upon return home we have booked again. Also, our dog thoroughly enjoyed the dog running field, he said it was pawsome!
Just perfect

From the moment we arrived, we could see this was special. We parked up in our spacious hard standing pitch with a beautiful view of the Bay and Holyhead on one side and the picturesque rolling hills surrounding us all the rest of the way around. This is a new site and is pristine. The shower and toilet block couldn't be cleaner and there are separate toilets at the other end. There is also a chemical WC waste disposal and big sink for cleaning your dishes. Everything you need is supplied. Gary, the site owner, is one of the most helpful people we've ever met and can't do enough for you. We forgot our kettle and he immediately went and got us one! We had some really entertaining and educational chats with him and his lovely wife Christine. The stay was so peaceful and Gary showed us several wonderful walks. Absolutely recommend this beautiful site. We will be back.
Lovely quiet location.

Excellent facilities. Easy to get to. Christine and Gary were friendly and helpful and most welcoming. A few things needed to be completed - somewhere for recycling and grey waste. Very dog-friendly. Great exercise paddock for dogs. Lovely Church Bay an easy walk away. Wavecrest Café on the waterfront served delicious snacks.

The site is remote, so good for dark skies and wildlife, but just a mile from a good pub and a little more to a pleasant cove with cafe, restaurant and parking. For coast path walkers the Amlwch - Bangor bus service stops two or three times a day at the nearest village which is about half-a-mile away. The toilets and showers are the best I've seen outside a top-end marina and each pitch has both hard-stand and a grass area with electricity and water. It's a new site so looks a little raw but scores of saplings have been planted and will provide continuing visual improvement. Bins are needed to sort and re-cycle waste in a dedicated area - a single general refuse bin by the gate doesn't do it - and the construction equipment stored at one side is an eyesore and needs to be shifted which is the only reason I've knocked off a star for facilities and cleanliness. Otherwise, excellent. There's no owner presence on site but the owner did come past twice in the four days I was there to ask every occupier if things were OK.

Ty Cochan is set in a peaceful part of north Anglesey. Its a fairly new site which is just getting established. When we arrived we had to ring Gary as there is no reception/office on site. He came up to meet us and gave us a very warm welcome. The site is set on a hill and is terraced. The pitches are a good size and flat, all have water and EHU available. We chose a pitch at the top, close to the wash block. Wash block facilities are really good, spacious and clean. Did a lovely circular walk from the site, down to Church Bay and then along the coastal path.
Great place, fantastic service.

This is a small and quiet campsite for adults only. Amazing views and all newly built. The owner, Gary, is a great guy with an incredibly positive attitude and helpful beyond the expected. If you are backpacking like we were, he really tries to make life easier for you, he knows it's trickier for us to move about and get what we need. If I find myself in the area again, I'm definitely coming back!

A lovely site, recently opened, close to the beautiful, picturesque Church Bay on the coastal path. The site has all facilities, very clean, well thought out. Gary is the owner who has a wealth of information & knowledge of Anglesey, and really accommodating, nothing is too much trouble for him.

We booked Ty Cochyn based on the reviews, which said it was peaceful. This, in our opinion, is an understatement. The location has far reaching 360 views, the view across Church Bay is absolutely stunning. The facilities are spotlessly clean, modern and immaculate. The pitches are spacious and level. The owner, Gary, has a wealth of knowledge of the local area and nothing is too much trouble for him, he really is a lovely guy. We will definitely be returning, we stayed longer than we anticipated and highly recommend this beautiful site. I forgot to mention it also has a very spacious and safe dog running field!

We booked this site having no prior knowledge of it. We booked it for 3 nights because it was very local to some friends who lived nearby. We arrived with guidance from the owner, as we lost our way whilst using Sat Nav. Gary the owner came to the rescue and guided us in. The site was a bit quiet but secure. The local road network allowed us to go walking safely, as we found our way to the beach at Church Bay. So yes, we will return as the price was OK and would recommend it to anybody.

The campsite by far exceeded our expectations. We were looking for somewhere quiet as we'd moved on from somewhere that was really busy and people were playing music, and this really was a little piece of heaven! The site was spotless, and really well maintained. Every pitch had electric and water, you are only charged for the electric you use, so if you don't use any you're not paying any extra. Gary was super helpful and lent us a book of walks, which was invaluable as our maps were for the area we left, so we didn't have anything. The coastal walks around Anglesey were stunning, and we were able to walk some of them straight from the campsite. We will definitely stay here again next time we're back in Anglesey.

Last minute booking and we were delighted with our site. It's under construction, so not all facilities are open yet, but all pitches have electric hook-up and their own water supply. A view from each one of the sea and rolling hills. Cycling around the country lanes was idyllic. A short ride took us to church bay and the lobster pot avoiding any road congestion. The owner is a great guy who checked on us daily and helped up with practical stuff and information. In time, when all work is completed, this will be a stunning site. Look forward to a return visit.

We stayed for 5 nights but we did have trouble finding the campsite. We eventually arrived later than expected but our camping plot was set for us. We did have a few problems when setting up as it was our first time but Gary, the owner, was on hand to help us. Gary even went out of his way to get some shopping for us as we hadn't brought enough. The campsite was out of the way but it was very relaxing and tranquil. There is also a field near the campsite where you can take your dogs and let them have a free run. We would like to thank Gary for all his help and advice.
