Cliff Farm Holidays is a friendly family-run caravan site that also has a couple of lovely glamping options. In the heart of Ryedale and just three miles from the quaint village of Pickering, gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors, a Dark Sky Reserve, this is a perfect retreat for those looking for a bit of peace and quiet. There are hardstanding electric pitches for caravans, a static caravan holiday home and a camping barn for larger groups.

We had a great stay at Cliff Farm and would definitely return. We had an added bonus of seeing a calf being born.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. Spring time is a good time to visit us if you want to see new born calves playing in the yards and sheds! We do hope to see you again soon.

Excellent site on a working farm and a convenient central location for multiple places. Be aware that the charge for electricity is additional to what we paid when booking and is put on a pre paid card when arriving at site, but not an issue. In fact, I think it's a great idea, as you pay for what you use and any unused on the card is refunded when leaving. Very friendly and helpful people at the site. Only one minor issue is the shower heads are fixed, set very high and have a wide spray, so you have no choice as to whether you wash your hair or not when taking a shower, It's almost impossible to avoid every part of you getting wet. Other than that, a great few days and would certainly recommend and will definitely go back again.

Thank you for your review. The electric meters are new to us this season and the majority of people are finding them to be a good idea. We are glad that you have enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again soon.

The pitches were all gravel and the one we were on was nice and level. The location is ok for light walking. Not a great deal close around. We walked into Pickering, just short of 4 miles. Local pub in Sinnington and was reasonably priced. My main gripe was the price for electricity.

Lovely campsite. The toilet /shower block was spotless. When we arrived we were asked how much we wanted to put on the card for electric. We were only staying one night so we put £10 and what you don't use you get refunded. We only spent 49 pence and the owner did say campervans tend to only use £2 or £3 per weekend so not too bad!

Excellent place to stay, near Pickering and Helmsley with easy access by bus from Sinnington. The hosts were great and very helpful and the facilities were clean. Lovely to hear the farm animals and wildlife in the morning. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back - couldn't ask for anything more.

We booked Cliff Hill as it wasn't too far from where we live. As beginners, we were a little nervous about pitching up but we found it so easy. The hardstanding pitches were perfect, the toilets were lovely and clean, and there were little villages that were easily accessible by car or short walk on foot. My children loved that it was on a farm and made friends with the cows. We would stay again.

Cliff Farm is a peaceful site with beautifully clean facilities. It was a great base for us to explore the surrounding area and visit the coast. There are farm walks and we enjoyed watching the harvesting! Everyone was very friendly and respectful of each other. Fuss free friendly welcome. An absolute gem.

Lovely location and views with spacious pitches. Quiet and just the setting we wanted. Showers and toilets good, but showers a bit of a pain when only on for about 30 seconds before having to press the button again. There was a little dog roaming around the site. Assumed it lived on the farm? Friendly, but peeing and pooing around our pitch and car. It also came into our awning and peed on one of our loungers! So we weren't just picking up our dogs poo! Saw it doing this around other pitches as well. Aside from this, well kept site.

Lovely little farm. Loved the walks they have around their land. Shower blocks were clean, showers were hot and there were fresh eggs to buy. We really enjoyed our weekend.

Stayed here 2 nights and it was very peaceful and pretty. The facilities were good. The farm dog Pip provided us with lots of entertainment! This park is located on a working farm though so be prepared for the smells that come along with such a place! Make sure you have plenty fly killer and fly screens. Would definitely stay again, met all our needs.

Friendly host, who gave some great recommendations for places to eat and things to do with the kids. Site is well maintained, beautiful surroundings and the shower/toilet block was immaculate! Will definitely be coming back for longer next time.

Lovely family owned site. Great views very peaceful. The owners made every effort over Jubilee weekend, and lit a beacon on the hill and invited everyone for hotdogs and the lighting of the beacon. Showers and loos were spotless. Our only complaint is that the water wasn't as warm as you would want in the showers. Other than that, it's a lovely place ideally located for exploring.

Toilets and shower facilities kept to a very high standard. Perfect location for Flamingo Land and surrounding places. Be careful of Sutton Bank as it is prohibited for towing caravans.
