Set in the shadow of Fotheringhay Castle's ruins and just a short drive from the market town of Oundle (10 minutes), this back-to-basics site is the perfect spot for an (almost) wild camping break. Right on the banks of the River Nene, it's a great site for paddleboarding, kayaking and wild swimming. Spacious grass pitches set on a large field, welcoming tents, campervans and caravans. Pitches aren't allocated, so guests can choose where to set up camp. The site also has five certificated caravan pitches for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only. For the camping experience without the hassle, there are two fully furnished bell tents. Sleeping up to four on a king-size bed and two single air mattresses, the tents include a camp kitchen, fire pit and outdoor seating right by the river.
