About Park Cliffe Camping and Caravan Estate
Park Cliffe enjoys a fabulous location, set in the fells above Lake Windermere, with stunning views over the Lake District fells and mountains beyond. Their modern, hardstanding touring caravan and motorhome pitches have been tastefully landscaped into the surrounding countryside and have lovely views of Moor How (a relatively small hill by local standards!) They are maintained to a high standard, so you can expect a spotlessly clean base for your holiday. Each touring pitch has a 10 amp electric hook-up, water and drainage. Please be aware that awning/tent pegs suitable for hard ground are required. Tent camping pitches are set across two areas: Ghyllside and Fellside. Pitches in Ghyllside are best suited to larger tents and can be reserved with electrical hook-up. Pitches are allocated by tent size, so please specify when enquiring. Fellside has undulating slopes and you are free to pitch where you choose. This area offers superb views towards Langdale Pikes and across to Coniston Old Man. The site also has four private bathrooms for hire, the height of luxury! In addition to the camping and touring facilities, there are seven different glamping options at the site, so you'll find one that perfectly suits your needs. There are 17 heated and sheep-wool insulated camping pods, which provide ample space for couples and families. The pods have plenty of headroom, carpeted or vinyl floors, a double electric socket, light and a decked area out front. Some of the pods offer higher levels of luxury and comfort and vary in size, accommodating couples up to a larger family of five. Some are also pet friendly. The use of airbeds is recommended in the couples, standard and family pods, while family pods come equipped with two single beds and two roll out chair beds. The premier pods come equipped with a double bed, bunks and a trundle bed (bedding not provided). There is also access to toilets and showers at the nearby facilities block. The deluxe camping pod offers luxury glamping accommodation for two adults and two children, with a double bed, sofa bed, spacious seating area, dining table and chairs, kitchenette and ensuite bathroom. It also benefits from wonderful stargazing windows and decking. A beautiful and handcrafted shepherd's hut completes the glamping offerings and provides a cosy holiday hideaway. It's packed with home comforts including underfloor heating, a double bed, sofa and kitchenette with small fridge and microwave. There's a lovely balcony seating area and it's nestled in a quiet and secluded place on the park. Finally there are spacious, fully furnished and well equipped static caravans for hire. Each sleep four (one double bedroom and one twin bedroom) or six (one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms). Some are dog friendly. An abundance of wildlife, such as squirrels, roe and red deer, foxes and birds surround the site. In fact, the park's environmental credentials are so strong that they've been presented with a prestigious David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for their work in protecting the natural environment. They also hold a 5 star rating and a Gold Award from Visit England.
