Making the most of the Eden Project concerts

Since the Eden Project first opened its doors to the public in March 2001, it has become one of the biggest attractions in the UK. Located in the small town of St Austell in picturesque Cornwall, the project, which was conceived by Tim Smit, took around two and half years to build.

For many locals and visitors, the Eden Project has become more than an architectural delight and a memorable day out. The venue also serves as an educational and entertainment hub which is known for its charitable and social work throughout the year.

Alongside its spectacular gardens and a passion for its multitude of causes, the team behind the Eden Project have utilised the site’s natural acoustics to stage a summer music and comedy festivals, the Eden Sessions, which are headlined by world-renowned artists. Prices and information

The Eden Sessions website is the best place to get the most up to date ticket prices. Prices for past acts have ranged between £35 and £45, depending on the artist. If you are planning to go to a gig, we recommend calling the ticket Box Office early on 01726 811972 to avoid disappointment as tickets do sell out incredibly quickly.

Every Session is different, so age restriction guidelines should be checked prior to purchasing your tickets. Although the Eden Sessions do promote a family-friendly atmosphere, some artists may be deemed unsuitable for younger audiences. And be warned - tickets are required for all children aged 12 months or more.

Concerts are loud and crowded, so parents may wish to bring some earplugs along for delicate ears. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over at all times. The Eden Project does provide a viewing platform for wheelchair users and guide dogs are the only animals allowed on site. So no pets!

Accommodation

There are a variety of campsites near the Eden Project. All boast stunning scenery and easy access to Cornish delights. Expect to pay anything from around £10 to pitch your tent.

There are a number of fun family-friendly activities going on throughout the summer months at the Eden Project which are included in the ticket price. Save yourself up to 15% by booking online.

Favourites include exploring the treetops along the Rainforest Aerial Walkway, immersing yourself in the Butterflies in the Rainforest Biome (alongside the den building activities), and going along to one of the Project’s summer evening specials with food and music.

The Pollination and Giant Bee exhibit is also popular. All activities are designed to be fun, interactive learning experiences - to make us all care a bit more about the environment.
