A no-fuss site set in the Dorset AONB, Brewery Farm Campsite offers a rural escape, 25 minutes from Dorchester. Tents and tourers are welcome with grass and hardstanding pitches available as well as the cosy Hector Shepherds Hut which sleeps two. The fantastic Fox Inn is just over the road and a fully-stocked farm shop is great for ingredients for the BBQ. About the site
A great location for a rural escape in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set on a working farm, you can enjoy waking up to glorious countryside views, watching the animals in the neighbouring fields and having a farm shop and village pub right on your doorstep. For tent campers, there are nine non electric grass pitches available. There are also ten hardstanding pitches available, suitable for touring caravans, trailer tents, campervans and small motorhomes up to 7.5m. These pitches are open all year round and also come with a 16 amp electric hook up. For glampers, there is the Hector hut which is a rustic shepherd's hut named after the farm's favourite ram! This hut sleeps two and comes with bed linen, a kitchen and ensuite. You can even enjoy a sundowner on the outdoor seating area which overlooks the farm. Though set in a remote location, you can still have access to free WiFi. Fire pits are also available to hire, ideal for a more traditional camping experience, with logs available to purchase too. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, just please ensure they are kept on the lead. There is easy access to footpaths and bridleways too, great for walking your four-legged friends. Please note, no awnings or gazebos will be permitted from October to April.

Would benefit from a motorhome grey waste disposal

Great location, especially for cycling and walking, although lanes to get to the site are quite narrow for a motorhome. However we were disappointed that for the cost (£30 per night) there was no drive over facility for motorhome grey water tank. This is normal on the continent but in the UK, a lot of touring sites still assume we are in caravans. We cannot put our grey water in a wastemaster to take to the drain, as outlet is between the wheels of the back axle. The option for us is to take it home, or empty it onto the pitch, or maybe find a drain at the side of the road. Even just a drive over drain in the farmyard on the way out would suffice. Otherwise, this is a lovely site!

We stayed for a long weekend as a winter getaway. The site was very quiet but still well used despite the bitter cold! (we arrived when it was snowing). The nearness of the pub and village shop was a massive benefit, which allowed us more time to do sightseeing, including a trip to Hive beach. The shower rooms were very well heated, but a drying room would have been useful. Plenty of electrical hook up points but you will need a long lead for many of the pitches. As it is a rural site we would recommend coming in from Milbourne St Andrew to minimise travel on single track roads with not many passing places.

Was a nice site to get to and had a decent pub adjacent. It was a bit difficult to navigate to with a big vehicle.

Thank you for the kind words. Unfortunately, the one down side for being rural and surrounded by beautiful countryside is the narrow roads.
