Why you'll love it at Bracken Barns Glamping & Therapy
About the site
With off-grid glamping, campfires, woodland trails and thoughtful home comforts, this site is ideal for families, couples, friends, dog owners and nature enthusiasts. The site is situated on an old dairy farm next to the famous Cassillis Estate, which still produces organic hay and is home to pygmy goats and free roaming chickens. There are only two yurts onsite, ensuring a private and peaceful stay for you and yours. Meadow yurt is located at the front of the property, set back from the main field with its own private driveway and small garden, while Woody yurt is situated in the glamping field next to the wooded copse. The yurt interiors are very similar, offering an open space containing a double bed, sofa bed, table, storage and wood burner. Both yurts also come with a private bathroom with a compost toilet and eco shower, a fully equipped camp kitchen and covered patio area with seating. The glamping field boasts a wooded copse with magical trails for kids, a communal fire pit and BBQ area with picnic tables, a young orchard and huge field for games. For the ultimate relaxing experience, there's an onsite Remedial Massage Therapist! Conveniently located by the A77, you're well placed for exploring gems like Robert Burns's birthplace, Galloway Forest Park and Culzean Castle. Ayrshire is also very popular with hikers and cyclists. Well behaved dogs are more than welcome but must be kept on leads when around the site. However, there's a safe off-lead area for your pup to let off steam, as well as plenty of walks nearby. Campfires and BBQs are permitted in the communal firepits provided.
