About Cobleland Campsite

Situated on the banks of the River Forth, this picturesque, family-friendly camping offers an idyllic base for exploring Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The site has over 14 acres of woodland and river meadow, with wonderful walking trails, cycling routes and fishing spots all around. The site's 126 pitches are set across a large open meadow area dotted with trees, great for shade in the summer months, along with a woodland area set across three gently sloping terraced levels. The site welcomes tents, trailer tents, caravans and motorhomes across a range of grass and hardstanding pitches, with the option of opting for a 16 amp electric hookup. Each pitch allows up to eight guests, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy peace and quiet. For glampers, there are also four safari tents, each sleeping either four adults or two adults and three children. All of the tents are fully furnished with a double bed, triple bunk bed and a kitchen with an electric hob. Crockery, cutlery and a toaster also provided. Outside each safari tent, there is a decked area with a fire pit for nights in the open. Bedding and towels can be added to your booking for an extra charge and shared facilities are nearby. One safari tent is pet friendly, sorry, the rest do not allow pets, one also has features to provide accessible access. Guests will also have direct access to two walks and an off road cycle path leading you to the national network and in to the wider Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and beyond. Portable BBQs are allowed onsite, so don't forget to pack your burgers and sausages. Four-legged friends are also welcome onsite so no member of the family needs to be left behind!

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesNov 2024

I had the most therapeutic weekend at this site, even though it was raining I thoroughly enjoyed having this campsite as my base. The people that run the site were very nice and helpful, they worked very hard at keeping the place clean and tidy. It was not easy for them as the weather was not doing them any favours. They were out leaf blowing and cleaning all the facilities every morning, noon and night. There are very good walks to Aberfoyle and Gartmore which 95 percent of it is the safe cycle and walking route through some nice countryside. As I walked by the side of the River Forth, I had the pleasure of listening to nature. I will return again soon but it may have to wait till January 2025.Thanks James ๐Ÿ˜Š

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2024

Lovely campsite. Toilets spotlessly clean. Great walk over the bridge into Aberfoyle. Watch your arrival time as they say 6pm but reception closes at 5pm. We had to ring a bell and wait. Don't leave early, like at 8am as there are barriers to stop you. We managed to lift them ourselves.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding PitchesSep 2024

Wow, first time here and can't wait to come back. Set in the most beautiful location on the River Forth, minutes drive from Aberfoyle & Loch Ard. Great, little coffee van onsite that also does yummy bacon rolls. A wood fired pizza van turned up on Sat night although we didn't eat pizza and opted for the Fairie Inn in Aberfoyle. If you like walking, there are gorgeous forest trails all around, so the dog just loved exploring. Highly recommend.
