About Loch Ness Highland Resort

The park is just a short walk from the centre of Fort Augustus village, with it's many bars, shops and restaurants. When it comes to glamping, this park doesn't do things by halves. There are a range of boutique studio pod cabins offering top of the range furnishings and stunning open glass fronts all with their own bathrooms and kitchenette. For something even more special, try a holiday lodge which is fully equipped with all you need. This part of the Highlands is a haven for sensational wildlife, where you'll find eagles, red stags, elusive pine martens and rare red squirrels in this fabulous countryside. Of course, you may even see the rarest of the them all, the Loch Ness Monster!

Papa G's restaurant onsite is family friendly and provides a warm welcome serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and open all day. The restaurant also includes a bar area while the nearby town of Fort Augustus, just a five minute walk away, has a selection of pubs and restaurants.

The site is situated on the edge of Loch Ness, where you can enjoy a gentle boat cruise over the water or lakeside strolls with the family soaking up the incredible scenery - keep your eyes peeled for Nessie too. Spend the day at Inverness and pay a visit to its castle, with sweeping views over the River Ness, or head to Fort William and attempt a trek up the UK's highest mountain, Ben Nevis. The ruins of Urquhart Castle have a rich history, dating back over 1000 years, with stunning views atop the Grant Tower or head to Fort Augustus nearby and enjoy a stroll by the Caledonian Canal.


Loch Ness itself is a true must-see, where you can take walks in the lovely surroundings, hop on relaxing boat rides and keep a watchful eye out for Nessie!

There's canoeing and kayaking on the water for adventure fans in groups, plus nearby archery sessions for those who fancy a go on a bow and arrow.

It's not far in the car to Inverness and its historic castle which is buzzing with things to see and do. Next stop should be Fort William where the bravest can take on the heights of Ben Nevis and those who don't fancy it can have a leisurely tour of Ben Nevis Distillery.

Visit famous Urquhart Castle and take in its breathtaking views. Look out for its full size trebuchet which tells of ancient conflicts.
