It is rich in natural beauty and teeming with wildlife, including red deer, badgers and golden eagles, while the 17th century Braemar Castle nearby offers a day of culture and is well worth visiting. Pets are welcome too.

About Braemar Caravan Park
A beautiful caravan park in Royal Deeside in the Heart of the Cairngorms National Park, Braemar is an ideal site for walkers, mountain bikers, scenic drives, visiting castles and distilleries and much more. Surrounded by mountains, moorland, forests, rivers and trails, it's the perfect place to reconnect in nature. Herds of red deer roam freely around the area and you may also glimpse red squirrels, golden eagles and Mountain Hares to name but a few - a real delight for watching wildlife. There are pitches for caravans, motorhomes, campervans, trailer tents and tents. The hardstanding pitches all have an electric hook up and you can choose from a small, standard or super hardstanding pitch, with added freshwater tap and grey waste water drain. The grass tent pitches are based on two well maintained greens, close to the facilities on the south side of the site. Choose from electric or non electric pitches for your tent. For those wanting a little more luxury, there are also 6 camping 'Fog' pods. Designed for use all year round, the pods are cosy and comfortable, each sleeping 4 people and equipped with a kettle, microwave and mini fridge. For larger groups, one of the pods contains a drop down sofa, allowing up to 6 people to relax in comfort, while one of the pods is designed for easy access, with an emergency pull cord and ramp provided. Dogs are welcome, with a designed dog walk area on site to stretch their legs.

92 x Hardstanding Pitches
Hardstanding pitches, all with electric hook up. Choose from a standard hardstanding pitch, small hardstanding pitch or a super hardstanding pitch, which comes with a freshwater tap and grey water waste drain, as well as EHU.
11 x Grass Pitches
Tent pitches, some with electric hook up, based on two well maintained greens and close to the facilities on the south side of the site. Tents must be 4m x 4m or less. Large family tents can not be accommodated.

Site rules and policies
*For camping and touring, arrival time is from 1pm. For pods, arrival time is from 3pm. Arrivals are not allowed after 8pm.
*Electricity is not included in the pitch price but available to purchase by prepayment card from reception on arrival. Any remaining credit will be reimbursed when you return your card on departure.
*Prices are based on two-person occupancy. Single-person occupancy discount is available. Additional people are charged per person.
Things to do on site and in the Ballater area
Braemar is a small village with a big personality! The most well known event is the world Famous Braemar Gathering, taking place on the first Saturday of September every year, but there's plenty to see and do the whole year round.
Surrounded by moorland, mountains and forests and sitting on the edge of the Clunie Water, Braemar is also home to an arts centre, a range of pubs, cafes, bistros and patisseries, as well as a well stocked local shop. Don't miss a visit to the historic Bramer castle too!
Braemar Highland Games centre offers fascinating exhibitions, while the Braemar Mountain Festival in March gives you the opportunity to learn some new winter skills and experience the magic of winter in Braemar.
A perfect spot for walking, whether you want a lower level walk with fantastic views, or a more challenging mountain hike, there are many walks to choose from. There are also endless opportunities for cycling, fishing, golfing, kayaking, and visiting whisky distilleries or castles.
Braemar Caravan Park is just 9 miles from the Glenshee ski centre, and just 25 miles from the Lecht ski centre.
