Site rules and policies
Arrivals and departures
Arrival time is from 12 noon
Departure time is 11am
Late departure for a small fee. Late departure times are sometimes available when the site isn't too busy.
Payment
The site very kindly requests a 50% deposit to secure the pitch and the remainder of the payment for your stay on the day of arrival.
Sorry, but we are unable to take credit/debit cards.
Deposits
Deposits are refundable up to 14 days before the start of your stay with us. After that, no deposits will be given.
Bank holidays
On bank holiday weekends, there's a 3-night minimum stay.
Pitches for bank holidays will be only secured upon receipt of a deposit.
Sorry to insist on these terms, but we've had too many people book and not bother turning up.
Security gates
The main entrance gates are electrically automated via a coded keypad for a touch of added security. To be 100% guaranteed to gain entry upon arrival, please phone and obtain the access code from the site a few days before your arrival (the access code will be changed periodically throughout the year hence the site will not be able to give it to you too far in advance of your stay), failing that just press the intercom by the side of the gate and we'll let you in.
No children
This is strictly an adults-only site (18+), hence the site has a strict no children policy, and this includes friends and family with children just popping in for a quick visit.
Please remember that other guests have booked to stay here on the understanding that there will be no children or babies here, not even for a 5-minute visit.
Dogs
The site allows a maximum of two friendly and well-behaved dogs per caravan. Any dog that shows the slightest sign of aggression towards other dogs or people, will be asked to leave straight away, along with their owners.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and you must be in total control of the dog as not all our guests are comfortable around dogs. The site also has pet ducks, chickens, pheasants, & loads of wild rabbits walking around the site and would not like to see them chased, harmed, or stressed. If the site sees any dog not on a lead it will be asked to leave the site.
Absolutely no rottweilers in any way, shape or form are allowed under any circumstances.
Parking
In the interest of safety and quiet on the campsite, the owners ask that after pitching your caravan and unpacking, you park your vehicle on the gravelled parking provided at the front of the property. These are located to the right of the main gates.
Recycling
The site would very much appreciate it if you could quickly look at the waste area and put your rubbish in the appropriate bins.
Groundsheets
Like virtually all other grass campsites, we only allow breathable groundsheets to be used. You don't have to use a groundsheet if you don't wish to. Strictly no PVC sheets or tarps to be used as they slaughter the grass.
BBQs
As long as they are on high legs and do not damage the grass in any way (the site does not allow the little £1 tin tray BBQs that sit on the floor and kill the grass, ashes obviously must be left to go cold and bagged before placing in the bins.
Noise
Please respect our other guests' right to peace and quiet whilst staying.
Please feel free to listen to your radio but have it loud enough for you to hear not the whole campsite. If you come back late, please try and be as quiet as possible as others will be asleep.
Fishing
Only "barbless" hooks are to be used.
No surface floating baits are allowed.
Don't flick dog ends in the lake or leave them sitting on the bank side. Please clear away all rubbish and go to the bank/swim precisely as you hope to find it.
