About Stabal Cottage and Pods
Set on a peaceful farm in the foothills of Cader Idris in Dolgellau, this site is ideal for a romantic getaway or a weekend of rambling with friends. The site offers two glamping pods built from recycled plastic bottles and powered by a hydro-electric installation in a nearby stream and solar panels. The pod contains a double bed, sofa bed, kitchenette and ensuite toilet and shower facilities. Did we mention that there's underfloor heating throughout? Outside, you'll find a patio with a table and chairs and a firepit/BBQ. The pods are suitable for a maximum of two adults or one adult and one child over the age of eight. The site is located with the Snowdonia National Park, so expect incredible scenery, plenty of hiking opportunities and lakes for swimming and fishing. You're also only ten minutes from the amenities of Dolgellau. No dogs, sorry!

There are plenty of activities right on your doorstep, most notably climbing Cader Idris. There are three main paths to climb the mountain - the Pony Path, Llanfihangel y Pennant Path and the Minffordd Path. Some are easier than others, so make sure to do your research beforehand!
