For walks along a tranquil waterway look no further than Basingstoke Canal Campsite. Make the most of this family friendly base with boat trips and boat hire (high season only), visiting the on site canal centre and discovering Surrey and North East Hampshire's countryside.
About Basingstoke Canal Centre Campsite
This site is in very easy reach from the M3, close to amenities in Mytchett and North Camp and less than 10 minutes in the car from the centre of the towns like Camberley, Farnborough and Aldershot. Experience the lovely canal setting from an open grass field ideal for campers and tourers. There is no electric hook-up, but generators are allowed during sociable hours. If you've always fancied staying in a yurt, the site has one you can hire. You can leave the car boot fairly empty, with furnishings and cosy shelter provided for you when you arrive, but do bring your usual camping beds. At least one guest will need to be 25 years old or over. Dogs are welcome on your pitch, but sorry they cannot stay in the yurt.
The site is open from Easter until the end of Sept, depending on the weather. The yurt can be hired between April and September.
