Cheddar Bridge Touring Park offers a peaceful adult only base for exploring Somerset, just a five minute walk into the heart of Cheddar and a 20 minute walk to the Gorge and Caves. Set by the River Yeo, there are a range of non electric grass pitches for tents and campervans, with electric hardstanding pitches for tourers and cosy camping pods for glampers. The site is also within a five minute stroll of shops and eateries. Dogs are welcome too!

We recently stayed at this campsite and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome that set the tone for our stay. The layout of the site is charmingly informal, with plots arranged more organically rather than the rigid, uniform rows you often find elsewhere. This, paired with the abundance of well-maintained greenery, gives the site a wonderfully relaxed and natural feel. Despite its proximity to Cheddar village, the campsite is incredibly peaceful. There's a beautiful riverside walk that takes you into the village, which adds to the overall sense of tranquillity. It's a perfect balance between feeling like you're in the countryside while still having the convenience of the town nearby. The facilities are absolutely spotless and very well appointed, making our stay even more comfortable. Although the reception has a few essentials available, it’s nice to know that both Tesco and Sainsbury's are just a short walk away in Cheddar for anything else you might need. Overall, this is a fantastic campsite for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained spot with easy access to Cheddar’s attractions. Highly recommended!

We picked this site on the reviews we read and agree that it is a lovely site for adults only. It is kept beautifully clean with added amenities in an accessible small kitchen as a sink, microwave, fridge freezer and electric kettle. (This was a great addition for us as we were in a tent). The campsite is near a small river and is only a short walk into town. Surrounded by trees at night we could hear owls and of course a lovely dawn chorus in the morning. You can also walk through the village and visit Cheddar Gorge and pubs and cafes selling great food are also nearby. We used this site to stop-off for a couple of days after a long drive from Kent but you could easily make this your destination site to explore the lovely area. Different styles of camping are accepted from motor homes and caravans with awnings to basic tents and dogs too who have their own walking area. Expect a warm welcome when you arrive and if you are lucky some free apples too!

Campsite is walking distance to Cheddar town and Gorge. We had a lovely pitch next to the river, which was very pretty. Good dog walks from the site. Can also walk out of town to Cheddar Ales tap room. Friendly staff and spotlessly clean facilities, the only criticism was just 2 showers for the whole site, but that wouldn't put me off going back.

Lovely location with parking next to the tent. Mixed combo of tents campers and glamping huts. Next to a river, quiet but walking distance to shops and activities, bars, cafes etc.

Lovely and clean. Friendly staff. Choice of rent pitches. Some didn't have dogs on leads which was frustrating, but that cannot be helped by the site. We had a lovely time and will visit again!

We had a lovely stay, the campsite was a great location near Sainsburys and walking distance from Cheddar Gorge. The staff were super friendly and the facilities were good, with a microwave and a kettle - handy when we didn't want to get out our camping stove!!

perfect little site, nice and quiet and very dog friendly, would stay here again but for a longer period. Reception were so helpful and kind. Only thing I would say is that the Wi-Fi needs work, I paid for it but it kept failing to connect.

Stopped overnight on the way between the Midlands and South West. Staff were pleasant and freely gave advice on nearby pubs and shops, as well as a good walking route. Being within Cheddar itself, the site is pretty well connected to the village, though public transport networks are limited. Pitches are large and well spaced, and the facilities were clean and well stocked. There is also a microwave, fridge and freezer, which are very handy for preparing food! Would definitely be interested in booking again for a stopover.

We landed on our feet finding this little campsite. Nice and quiet, relaxing and very convenient to the Cheddar Gorge, caves etc. Brilliant. Hope to be returning some time soon.Thanks to all staff.

Oh my god, our stay could not have been any more perfect. The pod was amazing, with our own deck and picnic bench. The site is beautiful and the walk to the gorge was easy and amazing. We visited the gorge on both days, there were loads of great little shops. We wanted to stay longer but had booked in somewhere else. Should have asked to stay longer as after staying here, we were disappointed with our next stop. The showers and toilets were amazing too, such a beautiful little site. We are definitely planning another trip to Cheddar Bridge Touring Park soon. It is an amazing place.

I only stayed for one night but I will definitely go back again. Really peaceful location with easy access into town by a short 10 minute walk. Clean and tidy and great amenities, I forgot my cooking equipment and the microwave helped. Camping field was cut well and shower was amazing.
