A note from the site themselves...

Hi, I'm Lucy and alongside my husband Rob we made the big decision of opening the land on our home to share with guests. We've lived on the site for over 20 years and it has always been our favourite place on the planet, a beautiful valley nestled in Somerset.

While our children were younger we wanted them to experience the world and all it has to offer and so travelled far and wide, from camping around the South West coast of the UK over to Asia and beyond.

We like to think we know what makes a great stay, from the moment you book to the little extras and insider knowledge, to the moment we wish you farewell. We designed each of our lodges to provide the experience of camping and reconnecting with the great outdoors, but without having to sacrifice any modern comforts or luxury.

We warmly invite you to come and experience Hadspen Glamping for yourselves and fall in love with it as much as we have.

Safari Tent - Lime Kiln LodgeAug 2024

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Lime Kiln Lodge at Hadspen Glamping in August. The tent was awesome - well stocked, beautifully kitted out with loads of great features (4-hob gas stove, gas powered heated indoor shower, solar powdered lights and charging sockets). The beds were comfy, cosy and warm and the bedrooms spacious with plenty of storage. The living room had a log burner and a well-stocked cupboard of games and books and the kitchen came with tea, coffee, cooking oil and a complimentary cider! The hot tub however was a highlight - lovely place to watch the dark clear starlight sky. 3 days wasn't enough - we will be back and can't recommend it enough.

Outstanding in every way

Safari Tent - Lime Kiln LodgeJun 2024

This place is a little piece of paradise, we stayed for two nights and regretted not booking longer the minute we arrived. We didn't want to leave. Lucy has thought of everything, there was even hot water bottles under the sink in case it was cold in the evenings. All of the little touches make this place stand out over other glamping sites. It's more like a home from home. We had our 4 and 7 year olds with us, they loved the outdoor games and being able to play on the hill on site. The local village of Castle Cary was lovely to walk around and browse the independent shops. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for being such brilliant hosts Lucy and Rob.

We had a great stay at Hadspen. The tents are amazing - they have everything you could need, are incredibly spacious and comfortable, and in a lovely spot. The service was brilliant - very attentive and responsive to any questions, and everything provided that you could wish for. The location is great for all sorts of fun in Somerset.
