About the site

Recently voted one of the twelve Best European Campsites by the Daily Telegraph, located on Skye's rugged West coast at the foot of the Black Cuillin Mountain range and the shore of Loch Brittle, Glenbrittle Campsite is an ideal base for some of the finest rock climbing and hill walking in Britain. It's also perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of busy life, as it has no mobile signal and is seven miles at the end of a single track road. But who needs a mobile when you have fantastic scenery surrounding you in every direction? The site has over 30 electric hook-up pitches for motorhomes and caravans (activated by smart cards available from reception, so it's advisable to arrive between shop opening hours if possible). There are also 150 tent pitches all located near the beautiful sandy Glenbrittle beach. It's a popular site with anyone who prefers the natural approach, offering a wild camping experience with the added advantage of amenities close by.
