Wold View Country Park and Fisheries is nestled on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and with seven well stocked lakes, it is the ideal getaway for keen fishermen. Tourers and caravans can pitch up on hardstanding electric pitches, some enjoying glorious lakeside views. The site is also just 30 minutes from the coast, with stunning countryside views over the Wolds and great walking routes all around.

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesSep 2024

This is a beautiful, peaceful site. We stayed on a gravelled serviced pitch which was of a good size. The shower room and toilets were clean. The only drawback was that they were a long walk from them. If you are of poor mobility like me, it's a bit far. We ended up having to drive round to them. Not a major problem, but one that you might need to consider. Also, the lock on the ladies is hard to use. We called at the cafe for a bacon bun but unfortunately, they didn't have any bread so we can't comment on that either, although others on the site said they were very good. We didn't fish ourselves but there were always lots of people fishing daily.

Excellent

Nice place with beautiful views. Plenty of space for caravans or motorhomes, possibility of fishing or walks among trees. Dog friendly. Very nice owners, clean facilities and peaceful campsite all the time. Perfect for relaxing. Only ev charger available on campsite doesn’t work.

If you like fishing, this is the place to come

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesAug 2024

Easy to find. Access road is narrow (single track, no passing places - just be aware) but is only a few hundred yards until you turn into the site. Lovely flat tarmac road winding by a couple of very well landscaped lakes leads to the reception. Greeted by the host, registration was easy and fast. Only a few touring pitches in one area. Ours had electric and water. Gravel base. Fairly level - had to put the front wheels on ramps. Shower block very clean and is kept locked - guests are issued with keys on arrival. The whole site was really nicely looked after. Seven well stocked fishing lakes. The reception held a few 'essentials' like loo roll, kitchen roll, plus a few items for fishing like basic tackle, some dry bait (no live bait). A very pleasant stay and we will be back👍 Oh, there's a lovely little café in Market Rasen called The March Hare - worth a visit.

Single Axle Caravan - Hardstanding Electric Touring PitchesMay 2024

We stayed here for two weeks for our main holiday in our tourer. In all honesty we were worried at first because we actually booked the wrong site! We were after an adult only one and there is one nearby with a similar name and we booked this in error. However, it was so quiet and peaceful whilst we were there that it made no difference. A van pitches next to us for a couple of nights with teenage children and apart from them going up and down on their push bikes, we didn't hear a sound. The grounds are beautifully kept and are very pretty. It's clearly very popular with fishermen as it was constantly busy - but again no interference or noise from them. There is a shop with a few basics onsite and you can get a bacon or sausage sandwich for breakfast - if you can catch the shop open! The shop was erratic as to whether there was anyone there or not. There is a small shower block dedicated to campers which the fishermen are not allowed to use. These were new and spotlessly clean and the shower was extremely good. If the site were full though, I'm not sure two showers would suffice. As we had the place pretty much to ourselves, it was not a problem at all. The only caveat for families I would give is that whilst the site has a 10 mile per hour speed limit this is in no way adhered to by the majority of drivers, so if you did have children riding bikes you'd need to be wary. Plus there isn't much to entertain them if they are not into fishing. All in all, a great site and if we had a need to be in the area again I wouldn't happily stay again even with our preference for adults only!

Site's response

Thank you so much for your lovely review Mandy, and so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. The road speed is something we are continually addressing, so hopefully if you tour with us again, you will notice a difference, and sincere apologies regarding the shop, it is normally open all day, but I was on holiday myself for one of your weeks, and we had some staff illness in your second week, so please accept my apologies for this, I hope it did not inconvenience you too much. Kind regards, Fiona.

We booked for a 2 night break in our motorhome and we ended up booking a seasonal pitch by the end of the stay. Why? Firstly Fiona and Nigel are a lovely, hard working couple, who instantly make you feel welcome, secondly the site is just so tranquil and beautiful. If you want a quiet break with beautiful views, look no further.

Lovely, quiet park and certainly somewhere to destress. There are various ponds around this park where you can fish or just sit and admire the view.

Gorgeous location, owners were very friendly and welcoming

What a lovely park!! So peaceful with gorgeous lakes to walk around! We watched herons and moorhens for ages and the fish were literally jumping out of the water. The owners were lovely and friendly and the toilets and facilities were spotless!!
