Brilliant location, lovely site, would definitely stay again

For me, it was perfect,. However, having a large sink (baby/toddler size) would be an idea as it is difficult to get them bathed otherwise. Great place for families.

Great stay

Lovely stay, kids had a great time, plenty to do.

Lovely site

Lovely site, we only stayed 1 night so difficult to comment on some things. Staff friendly on arrival. There were some works going on at the showers and toilets but I'm sure when it's all finished, it will be great. We will definitely come again as very near my daughter in Market Harborough.

Nice place

Is overall a very nice place to stay. Considering quiet time is 10pm, there were still kids and adults screaming, shouting, and playing music at 11:30pm, which was not ok.

Peaceful relaxing family site

Well thought out pitches with a lot of hedges providing privacy, yet it was still open. There was plenty of space and well maintained grass. Brand new washing facilities, very decadent and a pleasure to use area with microwave/kettle etc, it was well used. The lakeside location was just beautiful and perfect for a little dog walk.

Quirky, clean and comfortable site

Just had a relaxing stay at Brookmeadow, stayed 2 nights but felt like we'd had a week away. The site was beautiful and felt safe for the kids. Great facilities, it really is a home from home. We really appreciated a pizza van appearing on our first night too. Delicious! 😃 Thank you 😊

Gorgeous, relaxing stay

A lovely, family friendly site. Perfect for families and annual camping trips. As soon as we arrived, we started to plan to return with family next year for our annual trip. Dog friendly, campfires and BBQ's allowed, which is always a bonus. The new ladies facilities are gorgeous, best I have ever experienced in a campsite. A bonus was the Greek and pizza food trucks that were there over the weekend. Friendly and approachable staff to help with anything.

Our favourite campsite

We only started camping last year, but this is the only campsite we've returned to so far! You're firstly welcomed by a lovely team on reception, where there is a small shop onsite. You're able to hire a fire pit and buy wood from them here too. You're given a map, code to the campsite gate and Wi-Fi details before heading on down to site. They have had new bathrooms installed, one in the fisherman's hut and the ladies have also been recently completed - you wouldn't expect such luxury quality from a campsite! They're very flexible for non electrical campers and give you the option of staying on the main field or camping lakeside, which is ideal for my husband who enjoys the fishing. They have some decent size carp on there, the biggest we caught was 17+ pounds. There are facilities to heat things in an oven and microwave, as well as to be able to wash up. We couldn't ask for more from a campsite and look forward to our next visit.

Lovely spot with amazing showers!

Lovely campsite, large but feels small and private. Fab food options on site, brilliant 'natural' playground for younger kids, friendly helpful staff and amazing toilet & shower block! 100% recommend.

Good stay

It was a nice stay on the camp site. The WIFI was sometimes weak.

Our first outing

Me and my wife had a great 2 night stay. Good location, very clean and very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Great

Great campsite, going through upgrade so will be even better. Enjoyed the hot showers, visiting food vans and coffee pop up.

Construction noise

There was construction work going on at the men's toilet & shower block. They could have mentioned this beforehand, as this meant there were fewer facilities and an abrupt wake-up at 6:40 am, because of the construction noise. It was a big campsite, with beautiful spots. The cleanliness of washing up area could be better and I don't like the extra cost for the dog (£3), this could be just included in the price.

Lovely campsite

A lovely quiet park and a decent size. Great for small kids! The park and the facilities were lovely and clean.

Relaxing

Lovely. Very clean and well kept site with no overly excited wardens. Working farm and an adrenaline centre next door so quad bikes can be a bit noisy. Very peaceful and relaxing site with no noise after 18.00. Nothing close by, apparently a pub 15 min walk but no path so you have to walk in the road.

A lovely, quiet place to stay. We only went for the one night, it was very relaxing and quiet. I would recommend this site to all.

A little disappointing with the higher price charged

I appreciate it was a wet and windy weekend, but the whole site was very muddy and the longer grass kept everything very wet. We have stayed elsewhere in the same wet conditions without the mud. The Elsan and water points were also located in the wet mud, no pathway. We paid for an electric jumbo hardstanding pitch, which was just wide enough to fit the caravan in, with no hedge or boundary to mark out the pitch. In warm dry weather, I would imagine this is quite a nice place to stay, with plenty of things for the kids to do.

Sadly, the inclement weather is outside of our control, however, we make every effort to ensure that you are offered the driest pitches and we are always happy to move our guests to another available pitch if they experience any problems. With this in mind, I am happy to tell you that our Elsan point has recently been upgraded and a slabbed pathway has been laid leading to the Elsan point to avoid the wet weather problem in future. I am sorry that the jumbo pitch did not meet your expectations, if at any time during your stay you require assistance or would like to offer feedback, our onsite warden and office team are always happy to help. Pristine campsite

This campsite is well maintained and offers everything you need as a camper. The toilet block is clean, spacious and the heat upon entry was a wonderful surprise in the cold morning. I'll definitely come back in summer to take benefit of the food and cinema on site.

Highly recommended for campers, tents and caravans!

Beautiful site! Didn't have time to use all the facilities as we were at Radio 2 in the park festival. Everywhere was clean and the kitchen facilities were great - fridges, freezers, microwave and a toaster! Everything you could imagine! Fishing lake and ducks were lovely to see! Great place, will be back! X

Lovely stay

A lovely stay. The campsite is large enough for atmosphere but small enough to relax and enjoy. Lovely natural kids play areas and the cinema barn was great. The staff were welcoming. Overall it was great and we would come back.

Great site

This was a great site to camp. Great facilities and very clean. Love the food vans that come in peak times. Lovely natural play area for the children in the middle of the camping field. We booked this site because we were on a fishing break. Chose the site based on the photos and information about the lake. We were very disappointed to find out we could only fish on a quarter of the lake (approx 10 pegs only). The rest of the lake was for syndicate members only. There was also a lot of fishermen 'saving' their chosen peg by placing a chair on the peg and not actually occupying it till very much later in the day. This meant the approx 10 pegs was reduced to 4 or 5 pegs, limiting us again. We accepted we paid a little extra per night to stay here due to the fishing facilities, but in reality, the facilities are limited. Camp rules were not enforced. If you have rules they should be abided by and enforced for all. Some public fishermen were fishing in syndicate areas. Saving pegs was not stopped. Charges were not applied and also we saw campers on the waters edge, not abiding by the '6 meter clear of water's edge' rule.

We are very sorry to learn of your disappointment with our fishing lake rules. We do have a year-round fishing syndicate, however, there should also be sufficient pegs available for our guests. We have a fishing bailiff and an onsite warden who do regularly walk the lake to ensure that our rules are followed, for the benefit of both the environment and the fisherman. We also actively encourage any breach of our rules to be reported at the time, so that we can then act accordingly to resolve any issues. It is always our intention to make sure that our guests are happy with their stay and we apologise for any inconvenience you may have been caused. Excellent facilities and friendly staff

I was able to choose a beautiful pitch next to the lake. The showers and kitchen facilities were excellent and close by. The check-in was easy. I was given all the information needed and advice about nearby shops. The fire pit and logs were delivered to my tent. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent, nothing too much trouble

Such a great site, plenty to keep the little ones and adults busy. The showers and toilets were really clean and everyone was really friendly on site.
