Huge site, great facilities

Huge area for non electric. Electric area looks quite full and crowded though. The place is so huge, you can do many things there. We liked the no music after 10pm policy. Mobile network signal is great. Toilet facilities are great, with good and hot enough showers, and lots of space. Hair dryer in the toilet is a great plus for us. Services are great. The campsite is not difficult to get to, but staff still gave very detailed instructions. Check in is easy.

Super, Nice best

We had a lovely time there. We arrived at 1pm and the staff were really nice at the reception, they explained everything. It was a nice place, all the people were friendly. It was a quiet place and the people respected each other. The toilets were clean.

Al little bit disappointed

Very quiet place. When you look for rest and no service, this place is perfect. Enough space for everyone. We haven't seen any cleaning of the sanitary building for 48 hours? The family park next door is closed for maintenance in the high season. We weren't sure if this was good or if this was a pity for us.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. During the week there is only 1 toilet/shower block open as only a few guests staying, therefore it only gets cleaned once per day which you may have missed. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, both blocks get 3 daily cleans. If you have any issues whilst staying, please report it immediately by either coming to the office or calling the mobile number printed on the front of your check-in cards as we are not able to rectify issues once you have left and report it on a review. We hope you will visit us again.

Camping

I absolutely loved my stay. I had good privacy, facilities were great for me. Saw a lady who lived on site, was friendly, chatty and welcoming. Lovely site with nice walks to a canal, little river was good for the kids. I would definitely recommend and definitely stay again.

Overnight before Euro Tunnel

Good pre Euro Tunnel venue. Pity the nearby pub didn't take dogs, onsite pizza was a bonus though.

Dog heaven

Perfect for us and the dogs. No events on, so 400 acres almost to ourselves. Highly recommend for dog owners. Can't say about kids, don't know what they need. Shower block a bit bit dated, but nice and clean.

Great site

Amazing stay, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of room if like us, you have a nervous dog, managed to tuck ourselves away in a corner. Clean and tidy toilets. Enjoyed our stay very much and will be staying again very soon.

Lovely site

Lovely site. Only complaint is that the grass hadn't been cut. I'm disabled and couldn't get to the toilets without help as my crutches, which I need to walk with, kept sticking in the grass. Facilities very clean, lovely camping fields, people friendly. Would definitely go there again.

Our stay

Nicely situated, loads of walks, our dog loved the open space, site was nice and clean, we enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

Lovely and calm campsite!

Thoroughly enjoyed! Only suggestion would be more necessities in the shop. Forgot a few things and would have been nice to just grab them in the shop! Will return.

We have limited space in the touring office/shop for selling essential items and stocking perishables means we would have wastage if not sold as not many guests need the items. We are more than happy to direct guests to the nearest shop if asked (one within walking distance or 2 minute drive the other a 5 minute drive). We look forward to welcoming you next time.

1 night stay

Very lovely stay. Easy to find and easy to find your way around the camp suite itself. toilets and showers were clean. Lovely camp site. Will be back!

Very clean

Very clean facilities. Lovely walks nearby the site but unfortunately we didn't have the right footwear. Very reasonably priced pub in walking distance where we had dinner :)

Weekend camping with family

Lovely campsite with huge space for kids to explore. Toilets and washrooms clean. Very helpful reception staff.

Disappointing

Disappointing visit, we loved it here previously. There were broken toilet soap holders with no other facility, broken toilet seats and little or no soap in toilet block. I did inform the site personnel but it wasn't rectified immediately and only partly sorted the cleanliness problem the following day.

I am sorry for your disappointing visit this time. Unfortunately, there was some vandalism caused to the facilities, including the soap dispensers being pulled off the wall and the soap spread everywhere. We were unaware that the cleaning company we used failed to send a cleaner until notified by guests staying here. We did our best to clean with limited resources and managed to get a new cleaning company to start the following day.

Lots of space to choose from

Great visit, warm welcome and so much choice of where to pitch. Lots of space and super with a dog too.

Great stay and will be returning

It has everything you need. We stayed when the boot fair was on the next day, so that was an extra something to do!

Amazingly peaceful

We were one of the 2 tents there since it was early spring so we had a whole field to ourselves and room to really relax. The toilets and showers were very clean, and even had free hair dryers! Cannot recommend this site enough!!

Lovely campsite - definitely recommend!

One night stay to trial our self made camper-car. Lovely campsite, thank you! Friendly check in, good facilities, including clean toilet blocks, showers, washing up facilities and plenty of bins. Staying at the end of April meant it wasn't busy and we had so much space to ourselves. We also luckily chose the best weekend (weather wise) so far! Also, café/restaurant, lobster shack, and the pub were super close! Can't wait to come back and stay for longer.

Lovely open fields, but can be used for so much more

The location isn't ideal for us as there was no supermarket near by without a bit of a drive. It would benefit from an on site shop. I think the park could benefit with some wooden play parks, as the fields are so big and it feels like a free-for-all, no structure in place. We ended up walking for two hours, past the River Medway and it was beautiful, but there is nothing else to do unless we drove out. We had already visited Hop Farm, which we thought was over priced and had hardly any animals. We were very disappointed. The toilets were cleaned regularly, it's just a shame that other people can't clean up after themselves. The toilet roll does not help as it's one sheet at a time, so a lot of little bits were failing onto the floor and it just made it look a mess. I, and maybe others, just picked them up and chucked them down the toilet, so when I left the cubicle it was always clean. I mean, overall, we all had fun and made good memories, but I think I do prefer my comforts and a bit more entertainment.

So close to good, but not quite there

There's a few things that stop me recommending this park. There's really not much that can be changed about some of them. The road noise is awful. Peaceful location in the site, but the road was loud at night. The washing up sinks are back breakingly low for most people. I am not tall at 5ft 9in and my back was aching after 5 minutes. The showers are hot or cold. No in-between. Usually they're just hot, but they were broken one day meaning I had a freezing shower. There's very little to do for kids on the actual site, there is stuff in the Hop Farm Play Park, but that's another business all together. So yeah, I think 3 stars represents a fair review.

The road noise is annoying at times. We will look at raising some of the washing-up sinks for next season. We do not have an onsite play park, but we do not advertise as having one, the emphasis being on enjoying family time. Do bring your own board games if you have these at home.
