Motorhome - Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2024

Denny is great if you are looking for peace and quiet, away from the hubub of other sites where more facilities cater for kids/dogs etc. Surrounded by silent forest, the peace is broken only by the chirp of birds or whinny of ponies. Sit and watch the squirrels play. Bliss in any weather. Plenty of bike and walking trails for the active. Ten out of ten.

Quiet and beautiful

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2024

We booked for 1 night and stayed for 3. It was so peaceful, loads of space, no set pitches, park as you wish - within reason of course. Very pleasant, helpful staff. Little shop stocks the basics for camping - toilet paper, crisps, chocolate, ice cream, tea bags and spare cups, in case of mishaps! Very convenient for Beaulieu Motor Museum and estate, we spent two days there, a must when visiting the area. On the site we saw cows, ponies, fallow deer, squirrels, not as many birds as we'd hoped, but we heard many more.

Please make sure that you get the right description of your unit!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2024

We are nearly eighty years old. I have been camping in the New Forest for over 65 years! We were rather surprised when asked if we had paid for our toilet tent. Being of a mature nature, the need for a good size loo is very important, especially when using a small VW camper. Apparently the problem was that it was attached to the van, it is 4x2 metres, small I think. If we had a large van and a full size awning taking up a great deal more ground area, we would not have been charged the extra. I did of course pay immediately. I feel that perhaps sometimes a little gentle flexing of the rules should be tolerated.

Great spot
