Two Hoots Glamping Site Reviews

A lovely picturesque site with good facilities.

Two Hoots is aptly named with the call of Tawny and Barn owls adding to the atmosphere at night. The grass EHU pitch we had was a good size with enough room to pitch OPUS and awning and leave 2 cars on pitch. The car park was also available. The site has a feeling of space and the overall feel is relaxed. The site has a clean, handy kitchen, equipped with toaster, microwave and kettle if needed. Spotlessly clean toilets and showers are a real boost. Michele is very friendly and helpful, and even managed to shift our dates to 3 dry days - top customer service points for that. There can be a slight noise issue on cold clear nights with the noise of the A31 and the occasional toot of the Watercress line, but if you are in a van then I doubt it would bother anyone. This is a location where we would recommend bringing your own victuals and staying on site rather than the local pubs and restaurants, but each to their own. We will return to this lovely site and next time, we will extend our stay.

Our stay

Very nice site, lovely shower rooms with nice touches like air freshener! The communal kitchen had everything you'd have in your own kitchen. Big pitches. Nice hot showers where you can detach the shower head to wash rather than having to stand under it and having to keep pressing a button. The shower room would have been better if it was a bit bigger as there's no where to sit down to get dry. There also is a couple of cute hobbit style lodges and two tiny homes if you want more luxury. There are sheep near by and the watercress line.

Delightful stay

Warm welcome by Michele. Peaceful site. Fab big pitches, spotless facilities, great views. Near to Ropley station where we took the steam train to Alresford.

Peaceful Location

What a glorious spot, so quiet. Just what we needed. Michelle is lovely and helpful. With her mum, she keeps the place spotless. Thank you both for making our stay so enjoyable.

Peaceful stay in cozy pod surrounded by beautiful countryside

I had a lovely stay at Two Hoots. The weather wasn’t always idyllic but I was very cozy in my pod and enjoyed the private back garden when the sun came out. The facilities are beautifully presented, very clean and practical. I was made to feel welcome on arrival.

Two Hoots

The place was lovely and I couldn't have asked for a better host. Really clean, and decorated nicely and felt extremely welcome. Will definitely return.

Would come back again

The Shepherd's Hut we stayed in was done out lovely and very clean, and surprisingly warm considering the weather. The location is beautiful in the quiet Hampshire countryside, but conveniently close to the local town and several pubs which serve good quality food. There are lots of green walks on the doorstep and even a steam railway which was great! The host was very welcoming and kept good communication before and upon arrival and left us to it once she showed us around, but let us know she's on hand if needed. It was perfect and we would definitely come back!

Beautiful, peaceful and perfect

Me and the missus needed a peaceful place to unwind before our approaching wedding and my god did we find it! Two hoots was everything two London workaholics could ask for. Falling asleep to sound of owls in the beautiful hut that had everything we needed was a delight, only to be followed by waking with a coffee in the covered deck overlooking breathtaking views and watching birds of prey glide around. Add in the bonus of being 20 minutes from local towns and not much further from Southampton and Portsmouth and you couldn't really ask for more. The South Downs are on your doorstep, as are endless local pubs! You'll get a true taste of country life here and we will definitely be back!
