Riverside is a 5 star family-friendly park with award winning facilities, on the gateway to Exmoor and the North Devon coast. It's nestled just south of the Dunkery and Horner Wood National Nature Reserve, with plenty of stunning walks to explore. The site is pet friendly too and includes fishing lakes and a top notch bar and a restaurant. With electric grass pitches, hardstanding pitches and static caravans, there's plenty of options for all.

Maybe we just had bad luck

On arrival, we wanted to change the given pitch because it was loud there, dirty and people were using it as a short cut. People also letting their dogs using the pitch as a toilet on long leashes, even when we were eating outside. Even though other pitches were free, we did not get another one. After repeated requests, we reached another pitch at the end of the second day. Staff was very friendly but decisions were made only with discussions and too late. That stay will be kept in mind as our poorest so far.

Our stay was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The site was spacious and everything was spotlessly clean. First rate facilities.

Great site with bar & restaurant, lovely food and pool tables. Bathrooms and showers are really clean, only downside is that the showers are push button and don't stay on long enough. Only downside to the site was the lighting to the toilets, it's very dark at night and the entrance was not lit up at all, so make sure you take torches.

Pleasant site and great that we could pitch up where we wanted on arrival. The few things we would like to mention are as follows. Not much of a welcome on arrival, which was disappointing having driven 3 hours to get there. The grass was way too long. Wearing summer shoes was a nightmare, feet and shoes continually getting wet. The way in which the water in the showers ran was so annoying - pressed the button and before you could do anything, the water had stopped, so had to continually do this throughout whole shower. Understand the need to save water but this was unsuitable when showering. We were not issued a pass to get in the gate so couldn't get in when we got back from day out. Overall though, it was an enjoyable stay.

Stayed for 3 nights over a bank holiday. Pleasant enough, very muddy when it rained (they can't help that but just be aware). Bar staff work very hard. I did sit in the bar listening to reception staff discussing another visitor, which I didn't feel was very professional, but other than that it was a nice experience. Wouldn't stop me visiting again.

We had an amazing stay! Toilet and shower facilities were always so clean, very friendly staff, I stupidly left my car ignition on and killed my battery and a member of staff came and jump-started for me straight away. We will definitely be back to Riverside at some point next year!

The site is spacious. The pitch we were allotted to had the electric and water behind a caravan at the other side of the pitches, not between. We requested to move and got a pitch with electric right on the pitch. Lots of showers, but a shame that toilets had broken seats and a lock missing off one. No hairdryer in one block, could have one in each. No speed limit signs and lack of direction signs around the site meant wrong turns. Club house and restaurant on site

Nice location but showers blocks not very clean. Staff friendly however could go a little bit extra to help - asked for some bricks for the BBQ and waited at reception while they went to get them could have offered to bring to pitch were we was staying on site. Charged £1 for a cup of milk that was in a take away cup. Would have bought some from their shop if it was open but the shop is going under refurbishment. Would have been nice to have been informed before arriving as we could have got some on our way.

I have to say all the staff were amazing. Very helpful very friendly. Made a fuss of our dogs too. The club house does fantastic food. Very good atmosphere. Bar staff great very chatty. Bit gutted about lack of dog walks in the area within walking distance. I had a problem with my hot water in motorhome while we were there. Reception called Les out, who sorted my boiler and hot water out. Wonderful guy.

The campsite itself is in a great location, lovely dog walking area and the fully serviced pitches are great. This is one of the cleanest campsites we have ever stayed in and will be returning in the summer. The only downside is maybe for the future, install washing clothes facilities. The food at the clubhouse especially the carvery, was amazing 🤩
Fab, thank you!

Quiet and tidy site, very friendly staff from start to end. Well-presented wash and toilet facilities, very clean and modern. The whole site including the bar/restaurant is dog friendly! Breakfast was brilliant and we would definitely return in the future.

Stopped for a three night break on a tour of Devon. We were met in the reception area by friendly staff, outside staff were walking around the site and either stopped to speak or waved hello. The site is very well laid out with spacious pitches, each having its own grass area with a picnic bench. Toilets/showers were spotlessly clean and tidy. Washing up area was kept clean and tidy. There is a bar that serves food, which looked very nice. The site would normally be a very quiet area. Although major roadworks are nearby, this did not impact our stay. The site has a nice-looking play area and also fishing lakes, although because of heavy rain, we did not explore these. Would definitely recommend this site and sure we will return here. The cost was very reasonable, although was out of season.

Excellent campsite with all the facilities you could require for a stress free break. Large open spaces to exercise dogs and lovely river walks. Highly recommended.
