Cambrose Touring Park is a small family camping and touring park, pleasantly situated in the unspoilt Portreath Valley. The park is an excellent sun trap, set on six acres of well sheltered land approximately 1.5 miles from the beautiful sandy beaches of Portreath and Porthtowan. There are purpose built facilities for any disabled visitors.

Centrally situated, this park provides an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall's many attractions. Cambrose's 60 grass pitches offer ample space for caravans and tents, with plenty of electric connections available and mains water and drainage. A very high standard of cleanliness is always maintained at Cambrose and you can be assured that everything will be done to make your holiday a happy and enjoyable one. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

The site open from Easter until the end of October.

Facilities include a well maintained toilet block with free hot and cold water and showers 24 hrs a day, as well as hair dryers and all of the usual facilities. There is a family shower room with Belfast sink for bathing little ones, a changing table and toilet. Purpose built facilities for the disabled include a shower and toilet suitable for wheelchair users.

A fully equipped laundry and washing-up room has an automatic washing machine, spin and tumble drier, electric iron and ironing board. The shop stocks Calor Gas and Camping Gaz. Hot take-away food is available on alternate evenings during peak season. WiFi is available throughout the site.

A heated outdoor swimming pool and kiddies paddling pool are available (heated mid-May to mid-September). There is also a large games field, games room with pool table and TV, and adventure play area.

* No refunds will be given in the event of cancellation or early departure.

* Provisional bookings may be made over the telephone but are not confirmed until a deposit of £40 per week has been received and acknowledged in writing by Cambrose Touring Park.

* The balance of payment is due upon arrival and payment may be made by credit/debit card, cash or cheque (with a valid guarantee card and made payable to Cambrose Touring Park).

* Pitches must be vacated by 11.30am on the day of departure otherwise an additional charge will be due.

* To ensure that everybody enjoys their holiday we ask that our guests and others in their party keep noise levels to a minimum between the hours of 11.00pm and 8.00am.

* Dog owners are requested to keep their dogs under control and to clear up any fouling.


Centrally situated, the park is an excellent base for exploring Cornwall's beauty spots, quaint fishing villages, outstanding beaches, beautiful gardens and coastal walks. Redruth is only 2 miles away with shopping centre and cinema.

For cyclists, the park is adjacent to the Coast to Coast Trail, 11 miles of picturesque cycle path that is part of The Mineral Tramways network.

There is a superb choice of leisure and sporting activities in the area including surfing, wind surfing, horse riding, sailing and golf. Carn Brea Leisure Centre is just a few miles away and offers squash, badminton and an indoor pool with water chutes.
