About North Shire

Set in the natural beauty of the North York Moors, with a family farm beside you and views over the quintessentially English countryside and out to sea, you can be forgiven for feeling like this site is another world. Here magic and mystery combine to create a space perfect for family holidays or couples looking to get away and relax. North Shire is a quiet, pretty site with local attractions no more than a short trip away. Very popular among the guests are the free-range hens and various farm animal residents, who love to meet visitors. There are also friendly peacocks, chickens. There are five hardstanding pitches for tourers with electric hook up. There are also a set of rustic chic shepherd's huts to suit a family of four or five, with a king size bed and electric fan heater. Outside you will find your very own well placed seating area for picnics and star gazing. The fabulous Shire House can accommodate six and offers a fully fitted kitchen and luxury bathroom, plus a seating area around a large dining table next to a cosy fire. It's an escape that could be straight out of a fantasy novel. The magic doesn't end here though, with the Ground Keeper's Cottage almost paying tribute to gothic architecture with its turreted exterior as well as furnishings echoing the medieval with double bed, lounge area and bath tub fit for royalty. Sorry, pets cannot stay.
