Great place to unwind for a few nights and reset! Perfect balance of facilities, service and site with personal touches and a nice aesthetic. Not our first visit, as we often come every year with friends as there is loads to do with kids nearby. Recommended.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The site is a lovely location, perfect for a walk to the Broads - perfect shower block, very clean loos and showers. The shop was handy for ice creams as it was very hot during our stay. The pitch was a great size, we definitely felt we had enough room. We have a motorhome and whilst I can see improvements are being made for Motorhomes there wasn't drinking water available to fill our tank so we had to use bottles, and there wasn't a grey waste disposal. Our neighbours just said empty it on the field - we would never do this! This didn't in anyway affect our very lovely break with you but if you can put in a tap for this in the lower field and maybe a drain, that would be wonderful. Thank you.

Great stay, although the field got a little wet and the goose mess was a little frustrating.

Lovely stay in Ronnie the railway carriage. I was really pleased that they let us check in late as we had a huge drive across the country. The railway carriage was well equipped and clean. I'm not usually fan of having to use toilet blocks but we were really close, and the toilets and showers were kept clean. Lovely location for a dog walk and chilling.
Great site.

We love Whitlingham Broad Campsite, this is our third time here. We love how close it is to city centre, but also how you are so close to nature and away at the same time. The site itself is super welcoming and a lovely stay. However, we notice that the lower field floods very quickly with downpour meaning big puddles. This isn't pleasant as there is no downward hill for it to run down, meaning it gets very swampy. We also arrived at 12pm and was charged an 'early check in' when there was only other 4 vans on there, and felt this was a little cheeky considering considering the lack of people on the field. We would definitely come again and would love a few pitches to be electric to allow more facilities for us, but other than that, a good site.
A great stay outside Norwich

We stayed for 4 nights in our campervan over the Easter weekend at £25 pn for 2 people. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The facilities were good and it looks like they may have also just installed some new facilities for campervans which were not yet up and running (looked like water and waste drainage in lower field for campervans). Mix of glamping, tents and campervan pitches on site. Staff were friendly and operated a walkie talkie call system for when they weren't able to be at the office. Lower field had flat pitches which was good. We liked that we could use our own fire pit or hire one and they sold wood onsite at a reasonable price. A short walk across the road is the country park cafe and plenty of walks and activities around (dry ski slope, water sports centre, and an electric bike/scooter station with app based hire). A 15 minute cycle into Norwich city, which was good for a day out 😊

Great campsite. Pitch anywhere you like on the allocated field. Popular with families. Play area for children and lots of grass area to play. Dog friendly too. Facilities are in upper field, so pick between closeness to that, or quieter in lower field. Only disappointing thing was showers stopped running hot during the morning, but it was a very busy time when we stayed.

Camped here twice this year, both times we've had a great stay. Friendly staff, handy shop onsite, facilities were always clean. Good walks around the site, woke up to the sound of birds singing. Would definitely stay again.

The site was well-kept, although not exactly the escape one might look for while camping, given that it’s on the doorstep of a town. Traffic and freight trains can be heard overnight. The site essentially consists of a couple of fields on the edge of a town. I imagine that during peak dates, the site would somewhat resemble that of a festival, with no demarcated pitches and people being allowed to pitch “wherever there’s space”. I booked this site due to limited options with it being the down season. At the height of summer, I’d have gone with somewhere else. Not the most budget-friendly, but the prices aren’t unreasonable. Having said this, the facilities are very clean, and the staff helpful. It’s a useful site if you’re in a tight spot for accommodation. I imagine choosing one of the glamping pods here would be a better option, as they are more tucked away in the tree line and at a raised height.
Great time

The location was ideal for us, as we wanted to make the most of our paddle boards. A few mins walk from the lake and river, so plenty of waterways to explore. The campsite is in a beautiful location, amenities are good and everything was kept clean and tidy. No electric charge points for campervans, but it does state that on the website. By far the nicest campsite I have stayed on. We will be coming again.
