Set in rural countryside near Northumberland National Park, KMF Camping offers a peaceful stay with great views over the surrounding land. The small, eco site is home to a limited amount of non electric grass tent pitches, with ready tents for hire and a cosy, fully furnished shepherd's hut too. A five minute stroll away you will find Kirkharle Courtyard with artisan shops, a cafe and play park. The dark skies are also perfect for stargazing!

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2024

We can't rate this campsite highly enough. Paul and Gillian were great hosts. Paul went above and beyond to make our time fun. The facilities are exceptional and we really loved the eco focus of this campsite. The pitches are well spaced and it felt like we were remote. We were given wheelbarrows to transport equipment and also got the firepits with logs. Overall, a really good campsite and deserves high rating.

Shepherd's Hut - Jean Shepherd's HutAug 2024

Shooting stars in dark skies around camp fires, cosy shepherds hut with very comfortable bed. A short stroll to Kirkharle courtyard, which has a fabulous coffee shop, The Running Fox, great breakfast. Beautiful Northumberland. A great place to reset, thank you Gillian and Paul, great hosts.

Shepherd's Hut - Jean Shepherd's HutJul 2024

I stayed here last night in the Jean Shepherd's hut. The owners were really helpful and thorough about your arrival and finding the venue. Very friendly and helpful but also knew when to give you space. The location was lovely with cows in the distance and sheep and alpacas close by. Both me and my 7 year old loved it. The Shepherd's hut was very cosy and inviting with the facilities you would expect and outdoor table / chairs and fire pit etc. Whilst I came with my son, it would be a very cosy romantic place for a stay as well. All the pitches were nicely spaced with obvious 'zones' for where your space is. Having no dogs was a bonus for me as my sons strongly allergic to them, so no drama around that. Will be back at some point in the future either for the Shepherd's hut or the tent pitches.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesJul 2024

Brilliant campsite. Paul was very helpful efficient and informative of area and things to do. Really close to Amble and Cragside in fact all areas of interest. Lovely setting right next to church where Lancelot capability Brown christened. Lovely circular walks around campsite which takes you to Kirkharle courtyard with gorgeous running fox bistro where we enjoyed pan haggerty and chilled wine then little walk round serpentine and Browns garden and lots of artisan shops. The alpacas on campsite are so cute and Paul let us feed them and lovely to watch them. I would highly recommend.
