Woodhead Farm caravan site & CL site is set on a small working farm in the idyllic Eden Valley near Penrith, between the Lake District National Park and the outstanding Pennines. It is perfectly located for exploring the Lakes but within easy reach of the M6. Enjoy an Ideal stopover for breaking up journeys into Scotland.

About the site

This lovely site is situated up a farm lane with views over the surrounding fields. It provides easy access and a great location for cycling, touring or walking to explore the wide variety of places on offer in this stunning area. The location also enjoys views over farmland towards the Lakeland and Pennine fells. A quiet but peaceful site, great for chilling and relaxing in the evenings. There are 12 hardstanding pitches (8 super pitches). & 5 CL pitches with stunning views of the Lake District National Park. The sites are all hardstanding with electric and water at the back of each pitch ( grey waste on super) and a facilities block nearby. Only members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club can stay on the CL site. Guests benefit from easy parking and setting up without having the stress of touring through small narrow roads within the Lake District National Park. The site is just ten minutes away from the town of Penrith, great for a day of exploring.

There is pub within a five minute drive called the Sun Inn and just a ten minute drive away is a spar shop for picking up any essentials.

The Lake District National Park is at your fingertips here, so you'll want to explore it fully from your base. Penrith is only 5 minutes away with plenty of amenities and indoor options such as a cinema. Beyond that you'll find Lake Ullswater, home of the Ullswater Cruises and a great place to for sailing or windsurfing.

Lowther Castle and gardens are perfect for a day trip with dramatic ruins and an adventure playground on offer. Cumbria's own Hutton-in-Forest will fascinate history lovers too.

There are 4 open air swimming pools within approx. 10 miles including Penrith leisure Centre, where active guests can find great facilities.

Spreading further afield, Carlisle is around 16 miles away offering great shopping and a route into Scotland.
