About Gill Head Farm
Set on a working hill farm in the northern Lake District, this family-friendly site offers easy access to many of the best attractions, walks, and places of interest in the Lakes area. The rural location makes a great base for families, couples, walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. Tents are welcome across the site's range of grass pitches. There are ten non electric pitches measuring 5m x 10m welcoming up to six guests, along with six smaller 5m x 6m non electric pitches down by the riverside for up to five people. If you're in need of an electric hook up, the site also has ten optional 10 amp electric pitches allowing up to five guests. Caravans, campervans and motorhomes can also pitch up on one of the site's ten hardstanding pitches measuring 7m x 7m, each with a 10 amp electric hook up. The pitches all also enjoy stunning countryside and river views, the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy a sip of something cold after a long day of exploring. For those who prefer glamping, the site also offers six pet free, and two pet-friendly camping pods. Each pod sleeps up to four in two futon-style mattresses and two Z-beds, and is equipped with electric lights, underfloor heating and double electric sockets so you have all of the essentials for a comfortable stay. The site welcomes dogs and allows small raised fire pits and campfires. There are fire pits for hire if you don't bring your own, with logs available, great for roasting marshmallows under the stars.
