Things to do on site and in the Moelfre area
Luckily enough the Moelfre Lifeboat Station is right on your doorstep, where you can join tours, so you'll be right in the centre of all the action.
There is a wonderful coastal footpath on the lower part of the field which will is ideal for walkers. The picturesque village itself is in easy reach and the statue of famous lifeboat coxwain Richard Evans is nearby - a fabulous symbol of bravery at sea.
You may even catch sight of the shipwreck of the Royal Charter, which was a steam clipper which was wrecked off the beach of Porth Alerth in Dulas Bay back in 1839 and the Hindley which was lost 100 years later close to Moelfre Island.
The nearest beaches are Porth Nigl and Swnt Beach which are less than a five minute walk from the campsite so you can easily spend your days there.
Located close by are tempting eateries which include Ann's Pantry, a quaint cafe serving delicious food throughout the day, the Kinmel Arms with its spectacular beach views, the Coastal Cafe chip shop which is highly recommended online and lastly the ice cream parlour on the seafront serving fresh local hand scooped ice creams.
Horse riding, boat hire, golf and plenty of activities are available locally.
