This is my second time at Twitey's campsite. We really love it here. Mike, Nikki, Annie and all the staff are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They make you feel very welcome. My grandchildren love it here. They don't want to go home. The facilities are brilliant. Lovely, hot showers. Toilets are kept clean. A shop with everything you need. Every camping area has its own fire pit. You can buy the wood there if you don't bring you own. Twitey's is great for families and couples. Looking forward to going back. The West Midlands Best Campsite award is well deserved.

A real find. Nearly all proper tent camping pitches with decent toilets (no lights - remember your head torch!), hot showers, vanity area and washing up sinks. Plus fridge and freezer space, although some people had taken up maybe more than their fare share. Campfire dugouts on all pitches, made possible by keeping all the cars in a parking area and supplying wheelbarrows to transport your stuff to your pitch. Nicky and Mike were super friendly and helpful, and Beetle the cat is a cutie. Coffee machine and little shop make this a fab campsite. We cut short our visit due to poor weather forecast but plan to go back for longer next year as it's such a lovely place.

Alison, many thanks for your very positive and lovely review. We are all so delighted you enjoyed your stay here with us. Hope to see you again, very best wishes, Nicky, Michael and Beetle!

We had a great time at Twitey's, we intended to stay for one night but had to stay for another. The hosts were great, welcoming and laid back. Very clean flushable toilets and 6 clean hot showers. Fridges and kitchen area in the barn. Good shop with the things you might run out of or have forgotten, coffees and snacks, and everything you'd need for a fire & BBQ. Love the pitches being mowed into the meadow, creates a private feeling, even when it's busy. Really solid, clean campsite, would definitely return again.

I wanted a relaxed few days trying out my new tent, and Twitey's was the perfect place for me to chill. I was met by Michael, who showed me around before allowing me to choose my pitch. Being just before school holidays, it was very quiet, so I made the most of the tranquillity. The facilities are first rate, there's nothing I can think of that they haven't got. Clean toilets, fab showers with proper thermostatic controls and removable shower heads (a little thing I know, but makes a difference to some). Plus, you can buy or hire just about everything else. I never left the site so can't comment on the local area (too happy catching up on some me time). Personally, I hope they stick to the no dogs rule. I'm not comfortable around dogs which is one of the main reasons for choosing Twitey's. Hopefully Twitey's will continue to enforce the no dogs rule and I will enjoy returning time and time again. Thank you Twitey's, you were fab!
Site's response
Very many thanks for your lovely and thoughtful review of us here at Twitey's, Lorna. I will pass on your good wishes and kindness to the great staff here who I know will be delighted to hear. As far as dogs go we don't have any plans to change our current policy -except of course guide dogs-which are very well behaved too. Hope to see you again soon, very best wishes, Michael and the team.

We stayed here over the half term and it was fantastic. The site is lovely, set in the countryside, not a building in sight. The tent pitches are great, you have your own circle of a field surrounded by meadows, each with a little path to facilities. What makes this site extra special, is that cars aren't allowed near the tents and you have to wheelbarrow your stuff in, a bit of work but worth it 100%. We will definitely be going back.

Thanks Daniel, It's always good to receive a review and we are all so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Hope to see you again in the future. Very best wishes, Michael, Nicky and the team.

We had such a lovely time camping at Twitey's. Michael met us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful. He was also very accommodating of the fact that some of our group were ill and couldn't make the trip. My partner and I stayed in a tent with our 2 year old daughter, and my parents were in the Shepherds Hut. Michael kindly positioned us close together on the site. The facilities on site are exceptional and Michael has really thought of everything. We particularly loved that the showers had an adjoining communal area, which makes it much easier when you're trying to bathe a toddler! The facilities were really clean and well kept too. Our daughter loved all the cats and wildlife (we were lucky enough to see a barn owl hunting one evening), and especially enjoyed playing with the cars and tricycles that are available to use in the barn. The pitches themselves felt very private with the long wild grass areas dividing them. We can't wait to come back in August!

We stayed in the adult area, in the Shepherd's Hut for three nights over the August Bank Holiday. The hut looks over the campsite, set back from the family camping area in an orchard. The hut was brilliant. Large, supportive, squishy mattress (I have a moody back, and still slept so comfortably), table and chairs outside with the fire pit, table and chairs on the deck for showery times and table and chairs inside for downpours. The composting toilet was easy to use, and there are standard loos a minute's walk away. The shower was warm and powerful. The kitchen was well-equipped and organised. The thoughtful touches include: lots of wood, firelighters and matches, a welcome basket with lovely rolls, cereal, milk, coffee, waffles, marshmallows and more! Vase of wild flowers, cosy blankets and useful towels, torches, ice box and charger packs. We arrived as if we were going to a hotel, with a weekend bag. Plus, we brought food basics. The shop is well stocked with things you might need. Good quality basics and (essential) ice. We had Luca's Pizza one night - absolutely delicious dough, toppings and dips. Probably one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. We walked out from the campsite each day to the farm shop, market and National Trust, mainly walking along a quiet road (avoid the main road though - that is scary - there is a path through a field!) The staff were helpful and lovely. I would definitely stay again to enjoy the hut, sunsets, relaxed atmosphere and fresh air.

This site is fantastic all round. The fields are really considerately spaced with plenty of room between tents. Amenities are also great, with washing up equipment provided, well-stocked shop and wood available all day and night on an honesty basis.Clean, warm showers and well-stocked toilets. Michael who runs the place is a stat too!

3 families with young children all camped together. We lit a fire and had marshmallows! Kids had such a great time running through the pathway cut out in the grass! We will definitely be back!
Site's response
Many thanks Charlotte and what a lovely review. Children do seem to enjoy running about along the paths between the long grass and having a good time and giving the parents a bit of rest! Thanks again and hope to see you all again sometime and maybe on pizza night! Michael.

We stayed here for two nights and I can honestly say it was amazing! On arrival we were welcomed and shown where everything was. We even got help taking our stuff to the camping site. Our children loved running around and playing in the fields. Even though there was a few other campers you feel really private as they keep the grass long, which creates privacy. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean. There is an amazing little shop if you forget the marshmallows, like we did. They even have somewhere to charge your phones and iPads. There is a lovely area where you can eat breakfast if it is raining outside. They also provide fridges to use. We are looking forward to returning on pizza night next time we stay. Absolutely amazing campsite, would definitely recommend.
Site's response
Thank you, Sam. It's lovely to hear such great thoughts on our campsite and good to know we are giving our guests a good experience. Good to see you using the sitting and eating areas too. We are slowly re-wilding the site and there are lots of new native trees growing here and there so we are looking forward to the site increasing in beauty. Thanks again and hope to see you all again in the future. Michael, Gayle, Jess and John.

I needed overnight accommodation while attending our car club's national gathering in Stratford and Twitey's was ideally situated for me. I was lucky to have super weather for my stay and enjoyed the peaceful setting. There were lots of family groups with small children staying but the layout of the site, with the pitches on mown areas linked by paths within waist high wildflower meadow meant that I was never aware of other campers and had a very nice stay there. The loos and showers were good and always spotless As a bonus the Wellesbourne Airfield is close to hand for an excellent breakfast to set me up for the day!

Thank you, Charles very much for your review. It's always greatly appreciated (especially if it's a good one!!) I will pass this on to the staff who do a wonderful job trying to keep everything working well. Hope to see you again. Very best wishes, Michael and the team.

Ideal stop-off before attending the annual ABR Festival or touring the local attractions. Pitches convenient, thoughtfully located and surrounded by 'nature' - a nice change from regimented and crowded rows of pitches. Excellent facilities - showers, toilets, washing-up area etc all immaculate. Fridge/Freezer space available, beverages on sale and small shop on site supplies all essentials. Staff cheerful, helpful and welcoming. Undercover seating area available for English Summers! A thoroughly recommended site.

Probably the best campsite I've been to. Beautifully looked after spaces and attention to all the details that make staying really easy - like a well-stocked shop, including fresh coffee, and everything for starlit campfires and happy lazing. Each tent has an individually mown, generously sized circle creating a private feel among nature. Cars are left in the main yard and ample wheelbarrows are available to transport kit to your chosen pitch, creating a mini-festival feel. Everywhere is impressively clean and well looked after. If you have friends who are a little squeamish about camping, this is the place to bring them to allay their fears. A wonderful place to while away a few days, and get to know the surrounding area.

An absolutely wonderful site, suberbly managed to ensure everything you might need is provided. Wonderful location, a couple of meadows tucked away and naturally managed to ensure privacy between pitches. Toilets, showers and general facilities all of a good standard. Camp shop full of everything you may need to buy or hire (or borrow). Such friendly owner and staff. Wouldn't hesitate to go back and next time we are aiming to stay in one of the yurts.

I would highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking to get back to nature and have a relaxing camping stay. The camping pitches are set within fields of long grasses and vegetation, which gives privacy and a sense of security at the pitch. The pitches themselves are well kept, level, spacious and include a fire pit. There were plenty of goldfinches and swallows flying overhead as well as some beautiful sunsets, which made for great evening entertainment. The facilities were very good and always clean, plenty of toilets and showers, washing up sinks and even fridges and freezers. The campsite shop was well stocked with everything you might need during your stay, and the owner was friendly and happy to help. Overall a great stay at a reasonable price.

Josh, thank you for your review. It says it all and I can't think of anything to add. (I was also watching the swallows a couple of evenings ago). It's lovely to see them come back here year on year- and I've noticed more butterflies and moths this year. Hope to see you again. Very best wishes, Michael.
