About The Bothy and Wagon at Pitmeadow Farm
Open all year round, enjoy a cosy glamping getaway to Perthshire whatever the season, stay in converted accommodation from the 1930s and 40s with either the Woodman's Bothy or the Showman's Wagon. The Woodman's Bothy sleeps up to two with a full-sized double bed and the Showman's Wagon has a bunk bed and extra floor mattresses available on request. Both have seating, a wood burner and a table. Bedding and towels are included. Facilities are in the adjacent farm building. Both are in the perfect spot to enjoy the picturesque countryside views to the North and the pretty sunsets in the West. You'll usually find sheep or ponies in the adjacent field and little ones are welcome to go and meet or feed the animals! They will also love the table football, play area, zip lines and the football goalposts! You'll be just a 20 minute walk to the village of Dunning where there are shops and a pub. Or, head out in the car to Perth just a 25 minute drive away offering a much larger range of shops and restaurants for a day of mooching. You'll be in a quiet rural location just ten minutes from the A9. The site is set on a working farm so please be aware that there will be farm machinery, equipment, noise and smells! Up to two canine companions can join you on your stay, but please ensure they are kept on a lead and attended to at all times due to free-range chickens and ducks roaming around the site. There is a large fire pit with seating for guests to sit around in the evenings and cook up a storm on the BBQ!
The Bothy and Wagon at Pitmeadow Farm is open all year round.
Guests have access to spacious toilet and shower facilities in the next door farm building as well as a kitchen equipped with everything you need for self catering, including a washing up sink and a dining table and chairs.
There is also a large firepit with a BBQ for nights in the open. There is easy parking and an electric vehicle charging point.
If you need to pick up any supplies there is a village shop just a five minute drive away in Dunning, or if you prefer to dine out The Kirkstyle Inn is also in Dunning, just a 25 minute walk away.

For children there is a play area with a trampoline and slide, there is also table tennis and table football for the big kids to enjoy too! Or, if the weather is nice head out for a game of football with the garden goal posts.
There are ponies, pigs, sheep, ducks and chickens onsite, guests are welcome to go and meet the animals and help out at feeding! There is also a garden room with grape vines.
The village of Dunning is just a 20 minute walk away, great for a countryside stroll and a visit to the local for a tasty pint! Or, head to Perth (25 minutes) and walk along the River Tay admiring the medieval architecture, home to lots of museums, gardens, shops and restaurants there's plenty to keep you busy.
