This adult only site welcomes tents, campervan, motorhome and caravans as well as offering a range of glamping accommodations. Relax in one of the provided bell tents or cosy up in one of the shepherd's hut with private hot tubs. Watch the sunset over the onsite lake with you pooch, all whilst being 40 minutes from Weymouth and one hour from Stonehenge.

About the site
Located in the Dorset countryside, this adults only site creates a peaceful atmosphere whether you looking for a romantic getaway in one of their shepherd's hut with views of the onsite nature reserve or a touring stopover with great amenities. The site has ten non electric grass tent pitches and ten electric hardstanding pitches with access to the shared facilities onsite. The Daisy bell tent provided by the site sleeps two people in the raised double bed. The Poppy bell tent sleeps four people and there are basic hot drink essentials provided by the site, including mugs, kettle, washing up bowl and gas stove. Both tents have outdoor seating with a fire pit for hire to make the most of the good weather. The Minty shepherd's hut sleeps two in the raised double bed and has a log burner, TV, outlets and sofa inside for those cosy nights in. Outside there is a covered area where the private kitchenette area behind the hut that has a gas hob, fridge, freezer, utensils, pots and pans with a private picnic bench and hot tub to enjoy. Minty also shares the communal facilities with the tent and touring pitches. The Bluebell shepherd's hut is the most luxurious of the glamping accommodations having a private deck with outdoor seating, fire pit and sunken hot tub with views of the lakeside nature reserve. Bluebell sleeps two and has a raised double bed, ensuite facilities including a shower, a small kitchenette with hobs and a microwave. The site also offers handpicked hampers (at an extra cost) for different occasions, BBQs, breakfast, vegan meals or wine and nibbles to make your stay more enjoyable and special. Up to four dogs per pitch are able to be added to your booking for an extra cost. Both bell tents allow dogs, however the shepherd's huts don't allow dogs. Fire pit and fuel are available to hire from site for toasting marshmallows, with wood and fire lighters available too.

Things to do on site and in the Sturminster Newton area
The world famous Stonehenge is just one hour from site, where you can take in the sunrise of a new equinox or learn about the Neolithic period and how the English Heritage site came to be.
If you are looking to take in the local nature and wildlife, the Alners Gorse Butterfly Reserve is just a short ten minute walk from site. You can see, through the restoration efforts, the Marsh Fritillary butterfly continue to re-populate their natural habitat. If you are looking for a coastal day out, Hive Beach is 50 minutes away with dramatic cliff top views and is dog friendly.
Dorset Museum and Art Gallery (25 minutes) is a great place to learn about the history of the local area, with artefacts from the local Maiden Castle to regionally found fossils and ever changing exhibits.
