About the site

Tipsy Tree is a small family and dog friendly glamping site, with bespoke glamping units all with private Scandinavian style wood fired hot tubs. The ideal choice for those looking for a quiet place to escape everyday life for some much needed peace and quiet in the countryside. There is a cosy yurt, fondly named after the farm animals that are bred here at the farm, Hereford cattle, which will be seen grazing the fields. The yurt is furnished with a super comfy double bed, a seating area, and is decorated with solar-powered fairy lights, ivy and natural greenery to make you feel at one with nature. The yurt will easily sleep four with the addition of camp beds. The yurt has its own quirky private bathroom facility inspired by a trip to Namibia with a composting loo and hot shower. It also comes with a private adjacent camp kitchen, well equipped with everything you need should you want to cook yourself. Cutlery and crockery, pots and pans are supplied along with a cool box, There's also a luxurious shepherd's hut, perfect for two as fitted with a deluxe king size bed. Inside is a fully equipped fitted kitchenette with a double hob, microwave oven, and fridge as well as an ensuite shower room, seating area and dining space. Or, opt for The Ryeland glamping hut, powered solely by wind and solar to keep with the site's eco-ethos. Inside is furnished with a comfy double bed, a table and chairs as well as a log burner. There is also a bathroom and a quirky kitchen area with supplies. Hidden behind hedges and trees each unit has its own private green space where you can have complete privacy. You'll have space for al fresco dining, sun beds and not forgetting your own Scandinavian wood-fired hot tub. The Ryeland hut also has a BBQ/fire pit. A maximum of two dogs per allowed per unit and they will love adventuring to the countryside.

The shepherd's hut is open all year around. The yurt from April until the end of September.

A note from the site themselves...

Snape bank farm is the last working farm in the hamlet of Englesea Brook it has been farmed by the same family for many years and is very much loved. Realizing that they lived in a very special place Jane and Jim took the decision to share their rural spot in the countryside with others.

They like to ensure the best customer service is provide and hope that guests leave here enlightened, relaxed and refreshed. The name for the site comes from an old oak tree which stands in the big field.

It once had an Ash tree growing next to it and the trees were entwined, but after a thunder storm and a lightening strike in 1962 the Ash tree died leaving just the oak which has continued to grow at jaunty angle and is now quite a magnificent tree. Under this tree is the best place to watch the sun set, or if you are an early riser to watch the day awake.

We had the best time here, this is the most beautiful place to chill, relax and recharge your batteries. Jane and Jim the owners are fabulous people who can't do enough to make you feel so welcome, nothing is to much trouble for them. The Pheasant Lodge is luxury camping, hot tub is private and secluded and wonderful in the evening just relaxing as you star gaze. Our 4th time of staying in the shepherd's hut, can't wait to come back again soon.

We really enjoyed our stay, such a lovely relaxing location. The shepherd's hut had everything we needed and the hot tub was a great addition. We will hopefully be back.

A friendly welcome and immaculate accommodation, which has been very nicely done. Each of the three sites have privacy from each other, so you don't need to worry about being overlooked while relaxing in the log fired hot tub. Highly recommended retreat for those looking for a peaceful break.
