About the site


With stunning ocean views, spacious fields and a friendly relaxed atmosphere, Bryher Campsite is the perfect base for exploring the Isles of Scilly. Wake to the sound of the sea and peer out towards a 17th century castle or the wide expanse of the open Atlantic. Stroll to the white sand beach just moments away or set off for a day exploring the islands too. Nestled between two hills with stunning ocean views, the site is family friendly, yet peaceful and relaxed - providing the perfect escape. With five camping fields, there remains a wonderful sense of space even in the height of summer. You're free to pick your own pitch, whether you want to look out to sea, pitch next to your friends, or find a little corner all to yourself. Bell tents offer a hassle free stay with everything you need inside - so you can put your feet up as soon as you get there. These sleep up to five, with a spacious interior, air mattresses, handmade rag rugs and small chests of drawers. A large awning leads to your picnic bench outside. Getting there is as easy as hopping on the ferry or small plane from the mainland. And once you've checked in your luggage you won't need to worry about it again until you reach the campsite! Please note the site cannot accept campervans.

Facilities include ladies and gents shower rooms which are kept to an excellent standard. There's a washing up area, laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer, swap shelves for recycling camping gear, two freezers, and charging points for your mobile phone and camera. The site stocks a range of camping gas.

The Bryher Shop will be open with social distancing measures and offers a click and collect service. Harbour View and Fraggle Rock Bar is just down the road and serves great food.

You're welcome to bring a BBQ or fire bowl with you, provided they are lit outside your accommodation and kept raised off the ground to avoid damage - open campfires are not permitted.

Whether you're strolling along the white sands at Rushy Bay or Popplestones or soaking up the stunning scenery atop Watch Hill, the island is packed with activities. Kayak and boat hire is also available for watersports enthusiasts. Spot the seals at Great Par before watching the waves at Shipman Head. And don't miss a boat trip to explore Scilly's variety of incredible islands.


Just one and a half miles long by half a mile wide, Bryher is a beautiful island of vibrant contrasts. It's the ideal place for a perfect island holiday, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to do. Despite being the smallest of the inhabited islands, Bryher is packed with things to do and places to eat for a relaxing but fun island escape.

There are beautiful, safe sandy beaches on one side, and dramatic cliffs on the other - and the full range of activities and facilities that Bryher and Scilly have to offer are just a short stroll or boat ride away.
