Amazing site

The site and location were amazing and Debbie was so lovely and welcoming - fab facilities, can’t wait to go back!

Perfectly peaceful

Dropped anchor campsite is the perfect location for camping when visiting Cornwall. When we arrived it was pouring with rain, we were anxious the ground would be soggy. Not once did this happen over the 4 days the ground was perfect situated on a hill. The view of the sea in the distance was lovely to wake up to and the area was so peaceful. We wanted a log fire and was wondering where we would get the supplies from being so rural, but Debbie at dropped anchor had thought of it all! An honesty box of kidding, logs, firelighters and even marshmallows! The showers weee clean and had perfectly hot water and central to so many things to visit while visiting. Overall, Dropped Anchor campsite was a pleasant stay, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful site

Beautiful campsite, huge pitches in a quiet campsite with sea views. Facilities are spotless and cute, warm welcoming owners, 100% a place to keep returning to.

Holiday visit

Excellent sea views. Big plot sizes. Reasonable prices. The site owner, Debbie, is an excellent host, very pleasant, excellent local knowledge of places to visit. The amenities are made cosy and everything needed is on hand.

Fabulous

Debbie made us feel immediately welcome. Wonderful view. Very well-kept sanitary facilities, nicely decorated with cheerful messages. It's a small campsite, with lots of flowers and a nice, quiet atmosphere. Small shop with beach toys, firewood & marshmallows, as well as exactly the gas bottles we needed! We stayed 5 nights and would have loved to have stayed even longer.

The perfect community focused campsite

An eloquent little campsite with lovely facilities. Upon arriving we were greeted at the gate. Debbie was really lovely and took the time to talk to us as well as the other campers. Every pitch gets a table and a fire pit which is great for the price. It is not cramped at all so you can keep to yourselves. The facilities are top notch. The place just has a real sense of community that is lost on most sites nowadays, it really is a hidden gem in Cornwall and somewhere that I think we are definitely going to return to. The location is perfect too! The Rinsey pass is a must see for Cornwall! You can easily walk to it from the campsite. St Michael's Mount and Lizard Point are definitely worth the effort to go visit too! Thank you Debbie for such a wonderful first half of our holiday ❤️⛺

Great, thank you

Lovely location. Very friendly on site staff and people. Facilities clean and tidy. Would definitely stay here again. If I had to comment on anything, it would be that there is no on-site shop and the ground could have done with cutting as the grass was a tad overgrown, so it felt, but lovely nevertheless!

Hi Thomas, I'm sorry that you thought the grass was too long, I do try to keep it down, but with there not being much rain, it actually doesn't seem to have grown much. As for the onsite shop, we do have a small one selling just a few essentials, milk and a few camping needs. It generally opens in a morning, weather permitting. As I see you only stayed the one night, you may not have seen it, but I do very much appreciate your feedback and will get on to the grass cutting now. Thanking you, Debbie.

Personably perfect

Perfect site, exactly as advertised. Even when full, the site felt quiet, communal and very clean.

Wonderful

Love this place

Fourth time we've been now, love it.

Adorable place

Definitely I would recommend this place. Lovely owner, takes care of every detail. All bathrooms are clean and well equipped. Park is with nice sea view. There is small shop with so many souvenirs with very affordable prices. We will be back again soon :)

Overnight stay at Dropped Anchor

We had a lovely overnight stay at Dropped Anchor. Communicative, flexible and helpful host. Facilities are very clean and well maintained. Sizeable pitches are equipped with individual picnic benches and fire pits. A peaceful nights sleep with no disturbances. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Lovely campsite

We really enjoyed our stay at Dropped Anchor. Was made to feel welcome by Debbie and there was good communication throughout. Great location and lovely facilities. One of the best we've stayed at in our camper.

A little gem of a campsite

A little gem of a campsite - friendly, comfortable and Debbie (the host) is simply amazing. Oh my goodness what a fabulous, dog friendly little gem of a campsite. I almost want to keep it a secret so when we return we will definitely get a space 😉 Location is stunning, sea views from every pitch on the campsite. Lovely spaces pitches too, with everyone of them having a picnic table and Firepit. Logs and kindling can be purchased from the amazing little shop, as well as gifts, and other things you may have forgotten to bring with you. Not forgetting the marshmallows and biscuits to make smores for later sat around the fire. Took me right back to my childhood. As there is very little light pollution, we were treated to the most magnificent starry sky. The showers and toilets spotless, and Debbie the host couldn't do enough for you. It really was like meeting up with an old friend. We really did have the best camping experience and will definitely return. Thank you Debbie, you really do have a little gem of a campsite. X

Amazing campsite - best in Cornwall

This is the most tranquil campsite in Cornwall. The facilities are unlike any other campsite, they are like "home from home". You get a free fire pit 🔥 and picnic bench on every pitch. There is even a wetsuit wash to keep your wetsuits clean and ready for the next surf 🏄🏼‍♂️ The campsite offers a quaint little gift shop offering hand made crafts and some essentials (let's face it we all forget something). Most important - that sea view is priceless. The host, Debbie, is amazing and can't do enough for you, she has got a little slice of heaven.
