About Koa Tree Camp
For a spot of relaxed, eco-friendly glamping against a backdrop of wildflowers and rolling hills, this is just the ticket. This site is ideal for friends and families seeking a picturesque getaway close to the beach or couples seeking a romantic retreat. It can also be booked out as a magical venue for birthdays, hen-parties, stag-dos and weddings. Guests can choose to sleep in Scandinavian wooden cabins that sleep four or geodesic domes that sleep up to six. The accommodations are fully furnished with a king-sized bed and two singles, as well as a wood burner to keep you warm throughout the evenings. There's also a private decking area with a BBQ, outdoor seating and dramatic views of the Devonshire countryside. Each unit comes with a private bathroom with underfloor heating and a designated fridge and cupboard space in the communal kitchen, just a short walk away. Duvets, pillows and bed linens are all included in the price. Don't forget to bring your own towels though! With only nine accommodation units, the site is both spacious and tranquil. However, there's still ample opportunity to meet your fellow guests around the communal firepit or in the shared kitchen. The site also prides itself on being sustainable. Eco-friendly features include wood-fired hot water for the bathrooms, waste water recycling and a reed bed waste system. Alongside this, site owners Jack and Ilze busy themselves with growing organic food and re-establishing native woodlands and wildflower meadows. If you're lucky, you might get to try some of the fresh produce during one of the site's pizza nights. This is a great spot for beach trips and coastal walks. The site is surrounded by beautiful coast paths and Welcombe Mouth beach is only 15 minutes away. For surfing, head over to Sandymouth Bay or Bude in under 20 minutes, where you can hire equipment or book a lesson. Your four-legged friends are more than welcome at this site, provided they're well behaved and don't disturb the livestock. Campfires are also permitted.
