With easy access to Exmouth's golden sand beaches, as well as the rest of the Devon coasts, Browns Farm is sure to provide something for tourers and campers. This family-run the site adjoins a 14th century working farm and farmhouse. The three acre level access site has both grass and hardstanding pitches, all of which back onto hedgerows for some tranquillity and privacy. A great base for exploring Devon's lovely coastlines.

A lovely quiet site just outside the village, we had a brilliant pitch which was their fully serviced pitch, even had our own chemical waste facility (which I’ve never had) as well as water and EHU, toilet and showers were clean and a washing machine and tumble dryer should you need them, wifi is also available. I would not hesitate in recommending this site.

Even in middle of storm Bert, we arrived late on the Friday night to a friendly greeting and we were walked to our pitch. They were so helpful and pointed out where the bus stop was to get to Exeter (Christmas market). The pitch had all the facilities, which was perfect in a storm! The setting was lovely and can imagine the summer would have been fantastic! This being our first proper holiday in a motorhome, we had plenty to learn. Thank you to the campsite for their help and understanding. Even extending our leaving time to allow us to pack, highly recommended!

Site is in a good location for visiting the surrounding area, and is good for cycling around the area. We missed the turn off the main road and ended up at a road not suitable for the caravan. Called the owner, who came out and led us to the site by a safe route. There are toilets and showers on site which were very clean, if in need of an update. There was plenty of hot water for the shower.

Lovely one night stop at Browns Farm. Clean facilities, met by owner when we arrived. Set on a working farm. Great stopover on our way west. Worth noting, we walked to The Diggers Rest pub, an easy 10 mins walk but closed on Mondays!

This campsite is good place to reach many lovely places in this part of Devon: Exmouth beaches, Branscombe, Sidmouth and Topsham, for instance. The pitches are a decent size, there is electricity and water to most of them. The showers and toilets are clean and work well, and the arrival was welcoming and helpful. There is some morning noise from the farm, and the small road next to the site has some traffic at times, but all was low level and manageable. We'd be very happy to spend another few days here. Thanks Stuart.

Only 1 night as we were en route home from Cornwall. The site is very green and quiet with border hedges. The amenities, while basic, provided everything we needed. We received a warm friendly welcome from Stuart who guided us to our pitch and had earlier texted about a local road closure which was thoughtful. The unisex showers could do with mirrors and a chair/table.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. As your stay was a short one, you may well have not noticed that there is a seat in the changing area of the accessible shower. There is also a mirror outside the shower units, but thank you for your thoughts.

It is indeed a great environment for families and couples. Being a farm instead of a holiday park, it is way more relaxing and welcoming for families and couples.

Small site with a mix of tents and campervans. Nothing on the site apart from the shower and toilet block which can get quite busy. Site owner let us book in early as we were about an hour early. Good size plots. Nice location, you can walk into the village if you desire. We tried one of the pubs for a meal and drink which was good value with friendly staff.

Very nice owner who greeted us with a smile, even when it was a drizzly day! Was a smallish site but very clean and quiet. Set in a lovely village, pub not far 5/10 minute walk. Yes, I would recommend to others and would stay again.

Stayed here for 1 night en-route to Cornwall. Great site! Friendly hosts and great facilities. We didn't go but some lovely looking pubs nearby. Nice common area and former castle / fort nearby, which is very picturesque. Would stay again!
Lovely place and would definitely come again

Lovely sized pitches with well tended grass areas and just enough growth to allow wild flowers (some call them weeds, bees call them food!) and nice space around them. They haven't tried to fit in as many as possible which some places do. Very peaceful (apart from the cows who are noisy critters sometimes 🤣). Levelling blocks needed on some of the hard standings from what I saw of other vans, but we managed without. We will definitely be back. One slight problem was that the shower in the ladies was a bit temperamental about maintaining temperature, but since I didn't tell them about it, I can't really fault them on that.

This site is on a working farm, so you need to expect the smell of the country. However, the site itself is spotlessly clean and it is level. The pitch we had was very private, surrounded by a tall hedge on three sides. Showers and toilets were clean. WiFi available and there is a laundry and an outside washing up kitchen with hot water. Definitely recommend.

Friendly welcome, well laid out site, spacious pitches. Well appointed facilities, very clean. Great recommendation for local pub, The Digger's Rest. Will definitely be back!
