A peaceful site in the Mendip Hills AONB, Mendip Ski Camp will be a hit with thrill seekers. It's spacious and great for families, small groups and pooches looking for a relaxed break. Hone your skills on the dry ski slope at the centre next door, whizz by on a toboggan or try archery! With a range of non-electric grass and hardstanding pitches, this site is a great choice for those looking to reconnect with nature and unleash their inner child.

Received a warm welcome on arrival. We were one of the first to try one of their newly installed hard standing pitches and they were great. Really convenience for the activity centre, lovely a quiet site, and the facilities were great (lovely powerful shower)
Nice quiet campsite

Nice small campsite, some good pubs within walking distance as well. Very quiet when I went. A great campsite if you want to relax.

Lovely, quiet, small, simple, friendly campsite with everything you need for a relaxing get-away. Pricey for what it is, but it's small, so fair enough!
Basic but nice

Basic site, OK, warm showers and toilets. No hot water for dishes, and you must take your rubbish away with you. Small site, nice grass for pitching on next to the trees and in a lovely area.
Great no frills campsite, stellar location

We had our first overnight stay in our new van here and we're really pleased with everything! The campsite was nice and quiet - it was very wet weather, which was fine for our van but there was the option to utilise the car park too which was nice. Owner was great and had great recommendations for things to do - they even left eggs at our pitch as we were there over Easter. My only note would be to have communal hand soap in the loos - we'd bought our own shower gel and shampoo but assumed there would be hand soap. Otherwise, great location, great shower and loo facilities with hot water. Would recommend as a simple, easy campsite. Our little dog being allowed was a bonus!
What a great little place to stay

Great location and easy to find Value for money. It is what you expect, a place to pitch and toilet/shower running water and sink for washing up. You can't help getting grass in the toilet/shower block due to weather, but overall very clean.
Hiker haven?

Made the mistake of booking 2 nights, but should have been 1. Couldn't use the field due to the mud making it difficult. The owner not the friendliest of people. He had his dog off the lead, who scared my own pooch. Wouldn't stay again, but it may be a good stay for tent based hikers, as the facilities are okay. Lack of loo roll in the ladies was a pain.
Amazing, would definitely recommend

Super clean facilities and very modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful, a real family run business. The pitches were of good size and I felt safe during my stay, it was my first time camping with my toddler and a really all round good experience. Close enough to local shops/food places, but nice and quiet and tucked away, heard very little noise from other camper. We hired the log fire and was 100% worth it
Would stay again

First time camper, location was great. Next to the activity centre, good walks and 20 mins in the car to the beach. I only put 4 stars for facilities because there was only one shower working and no bins (I went with my dog so had to carry his mess around until I found a bin) other than that it was nice. The gentleman I spoke to was friendly and helpful and as I said, location was good!

We recently stayed at Mendip Ski Camp for a few nights to visit the local area. The campsite is really nice, facilities were clean, showers were hot and the owner was always about and offering a hand. 10/15 minute drive from both Cheddar and the beach, shops and good pubs very local too.
Lovely Spot, great host!

We had a great stay and we're really pleased to find the site. Really accessible for south Bristol etc. Whilst we were really happy with our stay here is some feedback we feel would help you get better. More toilet paper in the loos. We ended up driving off with bin bags full of rubbish and I saw that some people had just dumped their rubbish in the car park. Better signage. It was difficult to distinguish between the ski centre, base camp camping and your site.
