About Cosawes Park

Although keen to constantly improve the touring and camping facilities, Cosawes Park has remained successfully loyal to camping's more nostalgic roots, without club houses and with all the beauty of simple nature. Close to both coast and town, Cosawes enjoys a fabulous, verdant and peaceful location, open all year round. Surrounded by woodland, birdsong is often the only thing you hear, accompanied by the gentle burble of the stream. Set in a tempting AONB the site is all about peace, quiet, and unspoiled surroundings. This adult-only site has been recognised with the prestigious Gold David Bellamy Award for conservation for many years. Although pitch sizes may vary, most are approximately 10m x 10m on mainly flat ground with some slight sloping undulation in places. This makes for good drainage in wet conditions. All pitches include electric and hardstanding pitches offer a TV point. Serviced grass pitches all offer electric and water points, though these may be close to and not necessarily right beside the pitch. Dogs are welcome provided they are prevented from recurrent yapping/barking and should never be left in a unit unattended for any length of time. Please note, the site is going through a development project on their main grass camping field. So, there may be some disruption between 10am-4pm Monday to Friday, but the site is working to minimise effects on guests as much as possible.

Cosawes Park is open all year round in 2024 and 2025.

A note from the site themselves...

Although the tin mine has long been abandoned, markings in the woods still show where a 14th Century Chapel linked to a Manor House once stood. In April 1949, the Fraser family purchased the land, and it has been family-owned since.

It was first developed into a campsite in the 1960s, and since it has undergone many upgrades and changes but has always managed never to lose its rural Cornish charm.

We are very aware of the importance of an environmentally friendly approach. We strive to be as eco and green as we can. Over the years, we have installed rain-water flushing systems for the toilets, and a heat-pump system for the facilities block, and we only use environmentally safe cleaning products.

We have held a prestigious Gold David Bellamy Award for our conservation efforts since 2012!

As well as being a beautiful place to visit, Cosawes is also a beautiful place to work. We have a small but dedicated team of staff, most of whom are long-standing staff members and all of whom have a genuine affection for the site.

We all take great pride in maintaining the grounds and surrounding area and ensuring that all guests have a great experience while they are with us. Our outstanding customer reviews and regular repeat campers reflect this enthusiasm and diligence!

Motorhome - Premium Hardstanding PitchesOct 2024

Really can't fault this site. This was our third site in the week and by far the best. We had a premium hard-standing pitch, which had ample room for our 7.5m motorhome. We still had loads of space had we wanted to put a tent on the side. There was power and water for each pitch, and a TV connection had we wanted it. The washrooms were very clean every time we used them. Loads of space in the disabled toilet/shower rooms as well.

Great holiday week!

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024

This is the perfect kind of campsite for us; adult-only and dog friendly. It was SO quiet and peaceful and the frankly huge field set aside for dog walking is THE best we've ever experienced. To the eye it is bigger than the area of the grass and hard-standing pitches and it is extremely well maintained with a mown strip running all the way around the outside of the perimeter and alongside both sides of the picturesque river that runs right through the middle of it. There are foot bridges at either end so you can do a loop-walk (the best kind IMHO) or two and it is only for residents of the Cosawes campsite. The toilets and facilities are spotlessly clean and cannot be faulted - the showers, wash basins and toilets are on the first floor above the laundry, male and female toilet, disabled/family room facilities and a packed tourist information room. Public footpaths from the campsite are short and dead-ends but it is only a short drive to Falmouth and Argal Lake for longer and/or circular walks.

Site's response

This is the perfect kind of review for us! Thank you so much. It is great to know that you enjoyed your stay and that your four legged friend was able to enjoy the walking fields and stream. Many a ball has been lost and found in that stream! We will pass on your fabulous comments about the facilities to the cleaning team, and we look forward to hopefully welcoming you back again in the future.
