About the site

This is a family run eco friendly glamping retreat in a gorgeous setting. It's off grid, so you can be free from the distractions of technology and really cosy up in nature. Each of the handcrafted canvas yurts have views of the mountains and easy access to the stream. They are positioned to be close enough together for a group to enjoy but far enough apart to afford privacy for individual use. Inside their cosy interiors you'll find a kingsize bed and two singles. Their large clear crown provides a wonderful view of the stars at night and the sundecks provide a great place from which to enjoy the amazing views. The most private of the pitches are the locally crafted wooden yurts. 'Holly' is located amongst a few trees and overlooks the babbling brook. Great as a romantic escape for couples, but also has space for a family with a luxury kingsize bed and a day bed with trundle that can either become a sofa or two singles. 'Bramble' is set closest to the car park, slightly removed form the other units, and enjoys stunning views of the mountains and sunsets. This one also offers a kingsize bed and single daybed with trundle. Two more children's beds/cots available on request. Each option has a beautifully furnished interior, with soft rugs, comfy cushions and lighting to make sure you feel at home and of course a cosy wood burning stove complete with a basket of logs. 100% cotton linen and towels are provided for the double beds, and just pillows on the singles because children usually prefer sleeping bags. All guests have private kitchens with fridge, double hob with grill and all the pots, pans, plates and utensils you'll need, plus compost loos alongside and a private shower room either right next to the pitch or just a short walk away. With piping hot showers, gas fridges to keep the wine chilled and excellent 4G signal for most networks - there are no compromises to be made.

The cabins are available from 18th April to 1st November, while the yurts are available from 18th July to 1st October.

Glamping Cabin - The CabinsSep 2024

Wye Camping is an excellent example of a well-maintained, well-stocked glamping venue. It contains all of the things you would expect from proper showers to a toilet, a well-equipped kitchen with a gas stove, nice bedding and a fireplace in the cabin that keeps the heat in quite well! It served our group of 4 well as a base camp for our expeditions in the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains, and if we were back in the area again we would definitely consider Wye Camping!

Yurt - YurtAug 2023

Peaceful and remote, yet plenty to do in the local area. The kids loved being in the outdoors, with a small stream for them to play and a great place for walks. Friendly pub 5 mins away by foot. Local shops and amenities very close by. Would definitely stay again!!
