About Glanllyn Lakeside Caravan and Camping Park

Glanllyn Lakeside Caravan and Camping Park is a well-established 16-acre park by Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) south of the Snowdonia National Park. The site's lakeside location enjoys fantastic views of the Aran and Arenig mountains and has a 4-star Wales Tourist Board Award. Boasting an idyllic lakeside location on Wales's largest natural lake, enjoy the site's own private shingle beach. Make use of the easy launching area for windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding and even wild swimming. There are over 150 pitches for tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes, each spread across the spacious site to ensure a peaceful stay for all - some even right by the river and lake! Grass pitches are suitable for tents, small campervans and caravans, with the option of electric hook up. Hardstanding pitches are also available for caravans and motorhomes each with 16 amp electric too. Well behaved dogs are more than welcome and there is even a small enclosed dog exercise field for them to stretch their paws. You can hire metal firepits from the site which are a great addition to any camping holiday. You are welcome to bring your own but do ensure all fires are raised off the ground.

A note from the site themselves...

Glanllyn Caravan Park has grown from humble beginnings when around 60 years ago Grandpa Pugh sat in his livestock trailer on the side of the road waiting for his customers to arrive. We are proud to say that the campsite is still being run today by the same family three generations later.

VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Grass PitchesSep 2024

Very friendly welcome from reception. Lovely clean site. Great access to the lake we had so much fun on there. Not far from Barmouth, the Mach Loop and surrounding areas of interest. Will definitely stay there again.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesSep 2024

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The site was immaculate and the facilities, such as toilets and showers were modern and always clean. The views onto and over the lake were stunning. Considering how wet it had been, the site was surprisingly dry but there was some standing water. We were given the option to track down a dry pitch rather than just being allocated one. We would definitely book there again if looking for site in that area.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2024

Lovely campsite situated on the edge of lake Bala. Great for paddle boarding and kayaking. We pitched one large tent and paid for an extra car. When we arrived we were told only one car could stay on the site the other car needed to be placed in the car park. This meant emptying everything which was a pain.
