Set in a lovely part of the world. This was a well kept site with very clean toilet and shower facilities. It was quiet and with a short walk to a pub - which is one of our main search criteria!

Great site just 10 minutes drive from Chichester. Toilet & shower block looked new. Nice quiet site, apart from a bit of road noise, definitely one to go back to.

The site is in a lovely village, close to the Wittering beaches, Pagham and Selsey. There is plenty to do in the local area. The Anchor, which is a short walk away, does reasonable food. The Crab and Lobster, which is also close by,does amazing food. The site is quite small but the caravan pitches are spacious. There is one washing up space and three bathrooms, two with a shower. Although limited, we did not ever have any problems accessing the facilities. There are also some glamping pods which all looked very good. My sister stayed in the lodge which easily fit her family. The site was very handy as it allowed us to use our caravan and my sister could glamp. The only downside was the road just by the site. I had seen references to this in other reviews but decided to book anyway. The road is unbelievably busy and seemed to have traffic all night, even though it is a B road. When we were, one of the drains was loose and clanged and clanged as cars went over it. Not the site's fault at all and was a real shame, because everything else was great.
Lovely small site - very clean

We had a fabulous few days at Bucket and Spade. It is on the bus route from Chichester to Selsley and close to the Witterings with a lovely view of sunflower fields. We stayed in Delilah and she was gorgeous and had space under the bed to pack your bags away, cutlery, crockery, washing up equipment and towels. The shower was good. Everything was very clean. Our friends stayed in Woodie, so we had use of the decking and BBQ. I think Delilah was supposed to have a BBQ but there was only one between the two huts. I would recommend being organized on the food front as the local pub (The Anchor) was not great and there is limited food stores nearby. I would definitely stay there again.

Site communication was easy and we were given entry details by email just prior to arrival. Pitches are spaced well apart in this lovely small site. The bathrooms have been recently refurbished and are gorgeous, well appointed and very clean. There is a footpath along the back of the site which was great for dog walking and also takes you to The Anchor pub 5 minutes away, which did wonderful food. There's also a frequent bus into Chichester or Selsey which stops by the pub. My only criticism is just the one washing up sink which I had to wait for once during our 3-day stay. Overall, simply a wonderful site which I would happily use again.

Smallish site but had facilities. However found that only one washing up sink meant that we spent time waiting for others. At least two would be a recommendation. Three toilets but two of these were also showering facilities. No separate men and women. Water temperature in shower was 'hot' but no adjustment to lower. Personally, I found them uncomfortably hot as I had to shower on my knees to alleviate this. Nothing here for young children to do. A mile or so down the road was Sidlesham Memorial Recreation Ground which was great for the toddler. Too far to walk to if children are young! Overall an ok over-nighter

Very good location, quiet and relaxed atmosphere, clean facilities, good public footpaths, 2 very nice pubs in easy walking distance. Thoroughly recommend this site. Very much enjoyed our 4 day break (and so did the dogs). Should have booked for longer. Will definitely be back.

Please don't let the the name of "Bucket and Spade" put you off. There are no screaming kids 😀 Stayed for 2 nights in a VW campervan. Facilities excellent and very clean. Previous comments have mentioned about road noise, we were close to the road and to be honest, the only noisy aspect was the "dawn chorus" from the local bird community. Great pub just 5 mins down the road that is very dog friendly. We will definitely make a return visit.

The site is nicely central on the Selsey Peninsula, although on a busy road. The pub and garage/24hr shop are very close, less than 5 minutes to each. From the grass pitches, which are furthest from the road, there is a view over fields, and a short footpath for essential dog walks.

Lovely place. Clean, tidy and relaxing. 2 minutes from the Anchor Inn and buses run outside the pub. Could do with a secure dog run and maybe a washing machine, but a lovely place to stay.

This is a lovely site with lovely, helpful owners. There are a lot of places to visit in the area. We had a nice hardstanding with water available on the pitch. The pitch had a hedge one side and a tree the other side so felt private. The only downside is the proximity of a busy B road but in the caravan, noise was not a problem. There is a nice pub - The Anchor 5 minutes walk up the road, which served excellent food.

Lovely little campsite. The facilities were very clean. Good pitches. Good bus connections to Chichester or Selsey. I would recommend a walk to The Crab & Lobster at Sidlesham Quay. The site is on a fairly busy road, but it didn't bother us too much. Once you're in your van!

Pleasant little site with country walks nearby. Very clean and tidy facilities. A nice pub with good food (The Anchor Inn ⚓️) almost opposite. Convenient bus stop outside which runs approximately every 15 minutes and it's only £2 each way per person to Chichester. Would definitely go again.

Lovely small site with about 8 hard-standing electric pitches and a similar number on grass in another field. Some of the best wash-rooms I've encountered - there are only three, so there could be a wait if the site was full, but it consists of two private rooms with toilet, shower and washbasin (and PLENTY of room) and a third with just a toilet and washbasin. I LOVE washing like that with bit of privacy and plenty of room to spread out. All of them were kept scrupulously clean. Only niggle - the washbasins have no plugs and the design of the plughole means they were not intended to! A large flat plug will just about seal the drain, but it's not very successful. Just one wash-up shed for plates and pans etc, that's basic but adequate. Dark at night so you can see the stars! And wild deer visit the field behind. But there can be a little bit of traffic noise 'til quite late from the nearby road. Good pub and restaurant just a couple of minute's walk away. Good chemical toilet emptying facility (at waist height), but I'd have liked them to have a ground-level drain for grey water. I'd also like them to add a freezer for us to recharge cool blocks if possible.
Lovely!

We arrived early, which was not a problem. The owner, Hayley, and her two children came to check everything was ok early that evening. Hayley was very helpful about the area and the local footpaths. A lovely pub is within five minutes on foot from the site. Compliments for the clean facilities. Hot showers and hot water to wash up with. The pitches are spacious and all have electric hook up. Hayley gave us the choice of a hard standing or grass pitch. We chose grass and our pitch looked over fields, which we loved. We walked to Selsey Bill and were able to get a bus back to the site. Definitely will be back. Thank you 😊
